I just saw a CB to Texas for WR Lockett. Texas NIL may win out on this one but we will see. His commit date is 8/7.
It could happen. Taking one of their good ones increases the odds.Well, we still have several highly rated players we are going after also. We are ahead of everybody on avg ranking per player so I don't think we need your scenario to end up #1 as long as we finish.
Fixed it for you. We should call it what it is. NIL is just the approved term these cash offers hide behind.I just saw a CB to Texas for WR Lockett. TexasNILcash offer may win out on this one but we will see. His commit date is 8/7.

Wasn't this the guy who turned his recruitment into a bidding war and the staff just back away?

Legit…she said that, he opened the checkbook…
The more I read about his recruitment the more it reminded me of a "shake down". The kid and those that represented him were simply in it for the money, nothing else. He may turn out to be the greatest OL in college football history. But I think our staff did the right thing to let him go and not get tied into paying millions for a HS kid who is more likely not to live up to his hype than actually live up to it. It's called risk aversion and not a bad business decision.
