Braves: Braves vs Red Sox - May 30-June 1

Now we’re bringing back Kimbrel

Glav and Chipper and Smoltzie still are better than this crap of a team. Bring them back too and we will just hold a reunion before every game.
My son played on several teams with Craig in Huntsville. Craig had a great arm then but who could have known that he would be in major league baseball for 17 + years!

You mean, can he be much worse than throwing so many pitches down the middle with hardly any movement? No, I honestly do not think Kimbrel can be much worse. Maybe he will be about the same, maybe he will be better. Who knows, but how long until Sint uses him as a closer? Snit is loyal to a fault, and I distinctly remember AA bringing in a closer during a season, but Snit taking a few weeks to use them as such. I can't remember the year.

Unlike many on here, I've liked and supported Snit up to now. I think he was what was needed when we needed it. However.... It's time for fresh leadership.

Braves are spending tons of $$$ and getting less than mediocre results. They're turning into the Angels and Mets.

The inconsistency at every.single.position is mind-numbing.

They don't appear to have legit clubhouse leaders, either, so far as I can tell. This may be the biggest issue relative to prior years. They need a bulldog or two with high accountability expectations.

They let the clubhouse leaders walk because the owners are cheap.

Maybe Fried was too expensive, but the owners could have forked up he cash if they cared.

Freeman, though, he should still be a Brave. What he got from LA was not that much different from the Braves offer, and with Cali taxes might be a little less than if he stayed with ATL. The negiogiations were screwed up but, Braves owners could have thrown in a little more and got the deal done.

“Epstein” and “Braves” are both trending right now which is ironic because one allegedly killed himself and the other makes you want to kill yourself
well we set a record yesterday. Even when the Braves were the suckiest team that ever sucked, they didn't blow a game like yesterday.

I blame everyone involved with Freeman.

But ultimately the Braves should have made an offer that couldn’t be turned down.

He’s already had 2 of his best career seasons with the Dodgers and is on pace to win a Batting title this year as the best hitter in the NL.

Fried is having his best year right now with the Yankees.

We are just a cheap organization that doesn’t want to pay what it takes to compete.

We’ll lose Acuna when his contract is up.

Freeman… out every controversial move we have made I think how the Braves handled it made alot of sense. Yeah it’s easy to say it was a bad deal in 2025 knowing what we know but at the time it made alot of sense and the fact we had a viable replacement made the blow less severe.

However pretty much everything from then on… I don’t get what the hell Alex is thinking. Yeah he will say “Sale won the Cy Young” but he never made a pitch in the postseason and we are constantly wondering when he is going to get hurt, not if. Why we didn’t seriously pursue Walker Buhler is mind blowing especially with how cheap the Sox got him for.

Fried is a future HOF and could have proudly sat on the mantle next to other Braves greats, but these cheap owners didn't even make him a real offer. At this point, the Braves are just a farm system for NY and LA.

We lose everyone as their contracts come up. I don't see these owners paying for anyone to stay unless their careers have regressed and they are cheaper.

With the way Albies has regressed, we will keep him

Harris is having a Bad year too.

Last I checked he had 0.6 WAR as a CF

I guess that’s how bad he is at the plate.

I’m disappointed in how bad everyone is playing.

I straight up dislike Olson now because he can’t hit and we had a HOF 1B

Riley should be a .300 hitter but he’s streaky.

Acuna will get to a point if he hasn’t already where he try’s to overcompensate for everyone and get himself into a bad slump.

I’m starting to think Strider is just going to be our deGrom except without ever having a spectacular run of seasons before constantly getting hurt and skills diminishing.

Our front office is extremely cheap but I guess what I’m trying to say is the guys we do have aren’t even close to playing up to their abilities.

So how do I feel about the 2025 Braves and the future…
