ICE handcuffs 71-year-old grandmother, a U.S. citizen, at San Diego immigration court
Barbara Stone was handcuffed and held by federal agents for hours, according to her family; she was accused of pushing an ICE officer, which she denies.
I don't understand why they're wearing masks inside the courthouse.

Well, honestly, don't push a federal officer.
The headline could also have been, "Federal police arrest woman for assaulting a federal police officer."
Put you hands on a cop, that is assault. Or maybe NBC News believes US citizens at Immigration Courts should be allowed to assault police officers. That's an odd take.
Or,
"Shocker! Woman accused of a crime denies she actually did it."

Neither her immigration status nor the location of the arrest has absolutely nothing to do with it.
Sadly, this deceptive, sensational headline is becoming typical for NBC News.
So you would replace a headline that you feel sensational with another that's also sensational? I could easily see your headline atop the article had it appeared in the NY Post.

I think "Federal police arrest woman for assaulting a federal police officer." is more accurate and not sensational.
It would not attract as many clicks as the one NBC News used, however.
"Woman accused of a crime denies she actually did it" would fit in almost every criminal court room in America every day (except maybe the sex of the accused).

Judge orders Trump administration to stop immigration arrests without probable cause in Southern California

A federal judge on Friday found that the Department of Homeland Security has been making stops and arrests in Los Angeles immigration raids without probable cause and ordered the department to stop detaining individuals based solely on race, spoken language or occupation.

US District Judge Maame Ewusi-Mensah Frimpong, an appointee of former President Joe Biden, ordered that DHS must develop guidance for officers to determine “reasonable suspicion” outside of the apparent race or ethnicity of a person, the language they speak or their accent, “presence at a particular location” such as a bus stop or “the type of work one does.”

Our other LEO don't mask...with the exception of undercover work.
That could well be true, but open borders activists are not doxxing other police. They are doxxing ICE agents (and exposing the families of ICE agents). If you do not like cops in masks, blame the doxxers.

I do not like cops in masks either, but they work in an environment in which their families are put at risk by violent groups intent on stopping the policy. I do not support giving violent extremist groups a veto over a given government policy, because you cannot have a government or maybe even a society on that basis.

If they must wear masks, then they should also have a warrant for the person they're taking into custody. America isn't a police state where anonymous masked officials can just grab individuals off the street. I agree that extremist groups shouldn't determine government policy, but neither should they be given the power to turn us into that kind of country.

Trump has such great respect for the rule of law, I'm sure this ruling resolve the issue.

Agreed, but two separate issues.
All the police in the video were wearing jackets that said "Police ICE" or Police ERO" (which I assume is the Spanish acronym). The mask issue is a red herring if the cops are all marked as cops.

But they should have a warrant unless they see a crime (like assaulting a federal police officer).
Otherwise, I do not know how you would avoid apprehending the innocent/uninvolved along with the guilty.

I'm curious, did the Obama administration obtain warrants for every single deportation? I mean, he set a record for deportations, I'm just wondering if they were all by the book.

Called it:

The Trump administration on Monday asked a federal appeals court to pause a sweeping order from a California judge that required officials to stop making immigration arrests without probable cause in the southern part of the state.

So are they too, all honorable men...

Inside a federal immigration courtroom in New York City last month, a judge took an exceedingly unusual step: declining to state the name of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement attorney pressing to deport asylum seekers.

“We’re not really doing names publicly,” said Judge ShaSha Xu — after stating her own name and those of the immigrants and their lawyers. It was the first of two separate instances The Intercept identified in which judges chose to withhold the identities of the attorneys representing the Trump administration’s deportation regime.

JUST IN: A man decided to SLASH the tires of ICE vehicles during a raid in California, and got absolutely TAKEN DOWN by ICE agents

They maced him in the face and threw him in jail

Well, at least he didn't try to slash an agent. I'm pretty sure it's coming, though.
I think they, and Miller, have made it inevitable. In the words of one - "I'm tired of arresting gardeners"...
