Bama Game Thread: Official PostGame Thread - Bama vs. LA Monroe...

We complained about effort, the team gives more effort than they have in at least four years, and we still complain.

Spoiled, I tell you.
You can’t be spoiled about efforts. Only results.

If you taste bad fish and you throw up, it takes more than watching Bobby Flay cook fish before you try it again ;)

Great win last night. The offense looked very sharp. We’ll find out if the run D is fixed next week. Pass rush needs to be better.

I feel like we got our butts whipped last week so we went to the local jr high and got even.

im trying to be positive but this wasn’t anything to be happy about. This is all about Wisconsin now.

sorry Buzz. :)

Oh im still not "back on the bus". Im just saying a 73-0 dominant performance against ULM is exponentially a better sign than a loss or struggle win against ULM. Because after last week those outcomes were just as much on table as anything else.

The sins of last week are not forgotten, but this game proved they can be formidable if everyone does their job. let’s see how they handle success. They didn’t handle preseason hype very well. They didn’t handle success very well last year

there are a lot of good football players on this team!

My issue is, is that focus and dedication aren’t a switch you can just flip when you get your feelings hurt.

Will always be that way...just like Nick taught us. But I read through the entire thread and it really is pleasing to see how everyone is optimistic again.
I will be optimistic if the team puts the same effort against Wisconsin. That will be a step in the correct direction. I don’t expect 73, or a shutout, but that level of effort more a week isn’t too much to ask I don’t think.

I did note Formby was on the sideline a couple of times, meant to look and see if Alinen or another guy was in there...

Anyone have a link to a decently reliable snap count chart for our guys?
TF Michael Carroll played R tackle a lot yesterday. I think he played most of the second quarter, Even before wholesale substitutions

Playing freshmen will help in recruiting. That use to be Nick’s calling card for recruiting until his last few years. If you can play, you will play regardless of class, that brought us great freshman performances from the likes of Julio and Mark and steady a stream of L tackles.
