Mac Jones Gets Win With 49ers

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

I'm a lifelong 49er fan. Mac has literally been the difference b/w having a below average backup last season and a higher rated backup QB this year. However, the injuries the 49ers have suffered on defense will be too much to overcome in the long-term of this season, even if Purdy was perfectly healthy. Not having Purdy is removing a part of the offense, and which I believe is why Shanahan rates Purdy higher than Mac.

Mac has played himself into a starting job elsewhere, and if he were smart, he'd try to find a team with the Shanahan system. Personally, I would hate it if he went to the Rams. I don't think Stafford will be there by the time the season ends b/c the team needs to get younger at that position. Mac embarrassing the Rams in LA probably opened up their eyes a bit.

They might need to get younger at the position in the future, but Stafford is not showing many signs of slowing down too much this season judging by his stats.

At 37 years old he probably has a couple more years of high-level play in him.

Good for Mac. His 2020 season will live long in our hearts.

I'm glad to see any former Bama QB have success in the NFL. We went so long during the late 20th century and early 21st century without a QB in the league to root for. Now we have several and it makes watching the NFL so much more fun!

Mac has to be among the 32 best QBs in the league right now.

Belichick deserves to be knocked up aside his head for the way he damaged Mac's career so early on.

Heading to Wake Forest with my daugher to see their game (she is a grad) against North Carolina... Sounds like Belichek has done a real stand up job there. That is terrible!

I don't see Mac coming back to 49ers next season. A team will trade for him in the off season.
Yeah, but man he’d have it made…back up QB to a cat that tends to get hurt, so some pt…more money than you’ll ever spend…Shanahan loves him and let’s face it, Mac tends to get beat up too, so he’d get extra years in the league w/out all the wear and tear on his body…I know, players wanna play…I’m just sayin’…
