RFK, Jr.: Anti-vax HHS Secretary

View attachment 54362

This is absolute anti-science lunacy. Children will die if people take this nonsense seriously. There is no rational "yes, but" response to this statement from Trump's government.

Hmmm... In fact, reams of peer reviewed evidence published over decades in many different studies, by many different groups, in many different countries definitively prove vaccines are not a primary cause of autism. A substantial body of work shows that around 80% of the risk is genetic with a variety of environmental risk factors contributing lesser amounts of risk.

But let us say that vaccines do occasionally result in some risk of injury that adds to the complicated etiology of most cases of autism. Say 5% of cases... Which is more than the current body of research suggests could possibly be the case. If we stop all vaccination, the mortality alone, not even considering the morbidity of so many infections, would dwarf the number of cases of autism.

Kennedy Says He Told C.D.C. to Change Website’s Language on Autism and Vaccines

Kennedy’s actions endanger the health and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults. I hope caring and responsible Republicans/conservatives will speak up against this and other examples of the secretary’s unscientific and conspiracy-based foolishness.

narrator: they didn’t speak up

I hope somebody reminds Cassidy of his utter failure as an MD every day for the rest of his life.

It's really bad... And the effects won't even fully be realized for years...
He will be in line with MTG after he leaves office, waiting to write a book about how he tried to stop things but couldn't, that he upheld lies because he was lied to.

And he will win the Colon Powell Mea Culpa Award

Infants who receive Hep B will go on to never develop it and we could eradicate the disease ultimately.

Many adults will clear Hepatitis B, but the rate of chronic infection, cirrhosis, and liver injury are very high amongst infants, something like 80-90%.

Thusly, the basis for Hep B vaccine early on is very solid and the vaccine is very well tolerated.

Cassidy knew exactly who Kennedy was and still voted to confirm him. The senator should apologize for his mistake and call for RFK Jr's removal.

Yep.

It's like the place that hires a coach who fled his last job for hanging around (I'll keep it clean) underaged girls. Then they act surprised when it happens again.

"You knew what I was before you hired me" never affected so many.

I don't think there's ANY issue I've seen over the last decade that has turned so many people into mouth breathing, cultic clowns as vaccines. I'm watching people who were PRO-VACCINE up until the Covid shot all join a cult and present the very same arguments THAT IF A DEMOCRAT HAD MADE THEM, they'd have known better. I can tell you almost chapter and verse where they're citing wrong information that shows they really know nothing about the subject.

If Trump came out tomorrow in favor of vaccines for everything and everybody, they'd do a 180 oblivious to the inconsistency.

Cassidy knew, that's what perturbs me. It's one thing when Bush 41 put liberal David Souter on the Supreme Court because Warren Rudman deceived him as to who Souter was. Bush didn't know and even said later it's one he wished he'd had back. (Souter helped his case because he was smart enough to read the room and the writing on the wall and cloak his nomination in legal jargon). That's a mistake, fine.

But Cassidy knew damn well that Secretary Brain Worm was a junk science advocate.
