One would think this is big news, but because it is a potential threat to the conclusions of the first J6 committee, I'm guessing it's being intentionally underplayed. This is interesting. Do you support the pipe-bomber's argument that Trump's blanket pardon of Jan 6th protesters applies to him? Do you care if the Congressional Hearing results in a mistrial for him so that we don't get to the bottom of his actions/ motivations/ backers, if any?

I'm as frustratated as you with the opacity of that day and the alphabet soup agencies' obfuscation. I honestly don't know if these hearings will produce any truth/light but I can't say that I think we'd get closer without them.

You have to admit, that's one hell of a clever argument. And as much as I loath Raskin, he actually makes a solid point here. The timing is pretty bad considering the criminal trial about to start. (Although we both know Raskin's real issue with this is that it's happening at all.)

I am prepared to admit that this committee is just as likely to turn into BS artistry just like the first one did. I've only given them credit for one thing so far (it truly being a bipartisan effort) which already grants it more credibility than the first one could ever hope to have, but that could literally be the only thing after all is said and done. Sadly, keeping up with this one is already proving to be a lot of work. It feels to me that the media obfuscation is just getting started.

I applaud an open bi-partisian committee to do a fair and true investigation of Jan 6. Hopefully this one will.

Ah yes, the Roy Cohn strategy of the alternative narrative and accusation against accusers lives.

As far as "no Republicans were included," well, throwing a bunch of co-conspirators on the committee (which was the demand, those insufferable clowns who demanded pre-emptive pardons for their participation in J6) was never going to happen. That would be like seating the occupants of Mary Surratt's house to try John Wilkes Booth, if he hadn't taken the cowardly way out. Maybe.

You'd think even a stupid Republican would have the brains to understand there's a difference between what we all saw on TV and what those dumb asses posted on social media on their phones about what they were doing and, oh yeah, a pipe bomb planted somewhere else.

Nobody has ever found D.B. Cooper, does this indict the Trump administration or FBI, too?
