In the midst of ICE horror, the Senate needs to prohibit Trump from using ICE as a voter suppression tool. Senate Dems need to put into the approps bill a prohibition on ICE agents being near polling places. This is a must have. Last chance to do this.

Jesus Christ, talk about saying the silent part out loud! Besides, no bill is needed; posting troops at polling places is already prohibited by law unless they are repelling armed enemies of the U.S. I don't see any way around this. And I say this as someone who would love to see actual, demonstrable enforcement of common-sense voting requirements.

And I truly think we need to revisit the 3rd amendment. Because I think its horrible that ICE can't be living in our basements and guest bedrooms. :D

But I do believe in free enterprise. For instance, I can house a few soldiers for a little while in exchange for letting me use that grenade launcher. It won't take but a second and my neighbor's noisy truck goes to that big scrapyard in the sky. Heck, I'll even promise to wait until he gets out of the truck first.

more of the "worst of the worst" removed from our midst

Maher's attorney, Ali Elhorr, told People magazine that the father had entered the US lawfully with a visa, but in 2006, his asylum application was denied and a deportation order was issued.

That same year, after Wael was officially diagnosed, Maher became his primary caretaker and was therefore permitted to remain in the States to look after him.

Mr Elhorr said: "He had check-ins with ICE every year. Never missed a single one. Was never late to one." Maher's daughter-in-law, Shahd Arnaout, says that Maher had taken a folder with him to this latest check-in, filled with evidence detailing Wael's medical needs. Despite this, he was still detained.

Rittenhouse didn’t obstruct an operation or fight with agents.

He was attacked by literal convicted pedos.

That’s why these two situations aren’t even remotely comparable.

This isn’t rocket science.
Oh for crying out loud.

You would say Pretti was looking for trouble, I would say Rittenhouse was looking for trouble.

Rittenhouse brought a gun to a protest. Pretti brought a gun to a protest.

You can’t celebrate one and then turn around and say it was wrong for the other. That’s what Trump and his deranged supporters are now doing.

It’s not rocket science.

What would make you think that trump would obey that law when he flaunts others as he desires?

They are so courageous. Absolute heroes. Much like their Great Leader, they find children to be easy pickings.

Rittenhouse showed up to protect a friend's car lot.

Was attacked by 2 convicted pedophiles and defended himself.

I never said nor would I that Pretti was looking for trouble.

It was certainly his right to carry - I would too.

But if I were......I sure wouldn't get myself entangled with a law enforcement operation.....

Me either. I wouldn't want to end up shot in the back by some poorly trained, easily rattled yahoos, especially since their Supreme Boss's second-in-command and lead sycophant has declared them immune from any responsibility for their incompetence.

In today's episode of "Back Away from the Ledge Before You Do Something Irrevocable," a nurse at VCU went on TikTok and advocated everyday people injecting a temporary paralysis drug into ICE agents and poisoning them. She also encouraged women to date these guys and "drug" their food.

In a water is wet outcome, she's been placed on leave, and the police have been notified.

I would also hope her nursing credentials are in jeopardy. I have nothing good to say about how the Administration is handling this. I have nothing good to day about what she suggests. (I'm not a doctor, nor have I played one on TV. I'm just a retired attorney who used to be a prosecutor.)

I think we would be better served if everyone took a couple of steps toward the center.

That was Pretti but the video, as usually seems to happen, lacks the context of what led up to this encounter. I'm not trying, at this point, to either condem or excuse this action.
