Fox just reported we're going on a "full court press" for Spurrier. If we don't get him, they are saying Rodriguez would be on the top of the list. Nothing new really.

Also reporting Mal tried numerous times to contact Shula on Sunday, and that the meeting on Sunday evening was the first time they could get together.

I am thinking that more incriminating evidence has came out since the 600 news. I only posted the Smelley news because no one else had. I thought that the idea was to have an original post, not redundancy. I guess the green eyed monster has arisen on a message board that is supposed to be fun.
I will sleep good tonight knowing that I posted what I saw and not something I had to conjure up to make myself look smart.
 
WAKA in Montgomery are also reporting that Spurrier is the choice and has been given a significant offer. They hesitated to say he has accepted it though. Said there should be news tomorrow. :conf2:

I wouldn't worry to much about what Anchovy said. It's been my observation that He/She/Aubbie seems to be negative about everyones post.

Aubbie??? If we lived several hundred years ago I would challenge you to a duel. I am just EXTREMELY sceptical of the SOS talk. It has been fed by nothing but rumor and hersay. I could be wrong but I don't think I am.
 
He is probably going to pursue baseball.
I think he burned a year of eligibility in the MSU game, and then later, he wasn't even 3rd string in the Clemson game.

I would think that he wasn't too happy with Spurrier about that.
 
Yea we have quite a bit of fence sitters and pretenders on this site as of late that are spineless,weak and are in the john deere,trailor park down the road mindset. Moooo! The barn has plenty of spots on the wagon if you want one biatches. Join in me in the pool of Crimson kool-aid! Ohhhhhhhhh Yeeeeaaaa!

Smelly only played in 1 or 2 games and then hurt his ankle and received a medical RS. He will be a RS Frosh next year and has 4 years of eligibility. There were rumors before Bama vacancy that Smelly might look at transferring after Jr Blake Mitchell came back and put up such big numbers at end of season and since indications are that Spurrier will land highly touted qb Garcia out of Tampa. Smelly actually surprised a lot of people in fall practice and can be a good qb, but the writing is on the wall at USC as Blake will start next year and Spurrier apparently likes the Garcia kid a lot and has even passed on recruiting other highly touted qbs to focus on landing him. Again this all BEFORE Bama vacancy.

Story may be true, but I doubt it is linked to Spurrier coaching rumors.
