Noel Devine To Visit?

can somebody find one of his videos and post here?

I'm surprised there are still people out there who haven't seen this legendary footage!

Just go to youtube and search for Noel Devine. You'll get about a million hits. Or, if you're lazy (like me), click here. About 9 minutes of highlights there.

You can also find his video on Sunshine Preps.

It would be hard for me to believe if someone told me that that footage isnt sped up. That said, If he's got moves like that and runs a 4.34 like scout says, he's obviously one of the best ive ever seen out of high school.

Can you imagine having him AND JM?! Some people have alleged that his highlights are sped up to make him appear faster?! Funny how it didn't speed up the defenders or his other teammates in the videos. The guy is like a greased pig! They simply cannot bring him down. I often wondered if he played against any real competition, but from those highlights, I noticed that the defense almost always had him trapped in the backfield. They just couldn't keep up with his perpetual motion and speed. He's like a cat...he always lands on his ever moving feet. If only he can qualify, somebody will have a real diamond in the rough.

I noticed that too when I watched the video. Couldn't help but wonder if their OL coach subscribes to Bob Connely school of thought.

Oh, I don't think he's in the rough! Everyone knows about him, it's just a question of 'will he actually qualify'?

I saw his videos after his freshman year, and I remember thinking "man, if only we could have a shot at this kid", never thinking he'd look our way, but it appears we at least have an outside shot.

If we make the list and hes inviting saban into his home this late in the game, i think we have a very real shot at him.

EDIT: I didn't mean anything by the sped up tape thing. The kid runs a 4.3, who cares if the tapes sped up? Also, Scout said he has the "best balance since Barry Sanders." Thats QUITE a statement. At 5'8" 180 he's about barry's size in college if you add a few extra pounds. I'm awed that he's so impressive to warrent such a statement.

I don't believe the footage is sped up but I don't know for sure. I believe what you see is what you get. This guy has been a recruiting legend since his freshman year when his first highlight tapes started hitting the internet. He's super fast, but he's also very hard to bring down, he's got a great sense of balance and he's got fantastic moves! He would be an instant impact player much like JM IMHO.

I think his chances of qualifying have gone up a lot. At the beginning it seemed as if there was no chance for him to qualify but now he has a decent shot i believe. Now i dont know how many of you have seen this guys stats from his last high school game but he had over 400 total yards. 398 of those were rushing 20 attempts. he had TD runs of 42, 19, 73, and 83.....that is incredible. This was against a 2A school while his school is 5A. But i lived in florida and went to a pretty big high school (Choctawhatchee) the same one DJ hall attended....we played lower competition and our guys were pretty good and we didnt have anybody put up those numbers. In another game against baker, who is 5A, he had 210 yards on 8 carries:eek: He averaged 11 yards a carry and 14.4 points a game....

Edit: These stats are actually from his junior year.....he had more yards and more TD's his senior year...

i just saw on scout that were the only visit he has scheduled is this a good sign? and another ? it says we havent offered him a scholie i wonder why this is

It wouldn't matter if the video is sped up or not. The speed differential is what is revealing and it is evident that he is faster than just about anyone else on the field and definitely has better acceleration than anyone else on the field.

When a seam develops, he just explodes into it. If a seam isn't there, he'll bounce around and scramble until one appears. That acceleration is more important than the speed. It isn't often that a back implements his full speed, but he'll use that ability to adjust speed on almost every play.
