Fox Sports 2007-2008 early bowl predictions

Take it for what it's worth:rolleye2: They have Alabama vs. Tulsa in the Liberty Bowl, Hawaii vs. Michighan (or SEC Champ if available) in the Sugar Bowl :conf2: and LSU vs. USC in the BCS Championship (Sugar Bowl).

First LSU will not win the SEC and Bama will be in a MUCH better bowl than the Liberty. Bama will be in a New Years Day or better bowl...right it down and mark it as it is fact! I am guaranteeing it! Of course, that means nothing, but just make a note that I said it and wrote it down.

LSU may be LOADED but that doesn't necessarily equate to wins and losses. LSU will be starting a totally new QB (forget one happened in 1 game two years ago) and they have to replace a boat load of talent that went to the NFL.

Just sit back and watch and see boys! I'm not saying Bama will win the SEC but I am saying that we Should compete for it (assuming we don't lose talent to injury). If we have a lot of; or key injuries all bets are off as to what kind of year we will have.

LSU wont be playing for the national title. If Miles couldnt do it last year with all of the talent that just got drafted, it surely wont happen this year.

Don't forget LSU played 4 road games against Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, and Arkanasas. Most people said Miles would win two of them, which is exactly what he did, and one was a very questionable officating game against Auburn. Now those same people are blasting him for not winning it all? :conf2:

Thats riduclous Bama will beat LSU like a yard-dawg - All we had to do last year was score whatever the average % most teams score in the red zone & we are looking good

If we can move the ball inside the 20s like with did with Shula's coaching then I expect a Saban coached team to move it even better & produce in the red zone.

It's gonna be a good season for BAMA - we got the players - now we got a coach capable of motivating - bring it on

FYI: I was not intending to trash talk towards an LSU fan at all !!!

Playing in the NCG will be tough, not because of Miles (I know some of you like to slam him, not going there again.) but because we're replacing a quarterback who was the No. 1 pick, and two safeties, a new offensive co-ordinator, and two other asst. coaches. But don't count us out, a few good breaks and we can be there.

I'm thinking at least Cotton Bowl for Bama, Saban will downplay the talent (all new coaches do, it's the smart thing to do) and expectations, but a couple of players step up and they could have a very good year. The difference between winning and losing in the SEC is razor thin.

Yes indeed. IMHO LSU had the best talent in the nation last season and for some reason did not or could not get it all together. Les did less with more. It is suppose to work the other way around. Isn't it. :BigA:

I don't think anyone is blasting Miles for not winning it all last season because as your LSU brother has pointed out, winning in the SEC is sometimes razor close. Actually, I think the case is how can LSU be picked to win it all this year when they had a bumper crop of talent last year and couldn't do it.

Well football is only 2 months away but it is still 2 MONTHS AWAY. Too much can happen between now and then players getting hurt, arested, kicked off the team, suspended for a long period of time, be academicaly ineligble, or even getting killed.

My bad. I meant to say that I don't want LSU and USC to play in the national title game.

That's your opinion, we went on the road and played Fla. Aub. Tenn. and Ark, went 11-2. Les with more? Riiiggghhhttt. FYI under Coach Saban we had trouble with the off year murderous road schedule, and he's a great coach.

Sometimes teams with a little less talent, but the right chemisty go farther than the more talented team that has some bad breaks or a rough road schedule. Last years team with this years schedule who knows, it's all speculation at this point. I hate to wish away days of my life, but I'm ready for some football!!!!!!!!!!

I don't believe that LSU has the arsenal to go to a NCS bowl. They lost Jamarcus Russell to the NFL. He was their ace QB who was also a great RB.

They should do good, but not great.

I don't know about winning it all this year, but an SEC title isn't out of the question. A more favorable schedule, a 5th year senior at QB, returning 9 starters on defense, an established RB (hopefully). The only major concern is receiver. We need 3 other WRs to step up and take heat off of Early Doucet.

How many games has he started in the SEC? LSU doesn't know what they have at QB yet.

In Gary Crowton's second year as Oregon's OC their overall production dropped. Is he the type of coach that fits players to a certain scheme regardless or does he tailor his scheme based on the players?
