I think the intensity of our defense will be stepped up a ton. Don't think for one minute CNS isn't pointing out and working on the things that were even obvious to us. Such as no pressure on the qb, the running between the tackles and the slants that they kept completing on us. I imagine all of that will be worked on this week because trust me Vandy will watch the film and be trying to exploit it.

Vandy will have a hard time containing both the running and passing of Bama. The defense will blitz more this week in hopes of pressuring the QB and that will leave the secondary a bit more exposed for big plays from Vandy.

One thing I noticed in this new defense is the cornerback blitz. If Bama is able to blitz successfully on Nickson's blind side, it could be either a short day for Nickson or a rather long day.

I'm still not sold on our offense being a high scoring offense. Yeah we scored 52 on WCU, but that game was like a 21 y/o beating up a 5 y/o. If Bama scores 4-5 td's against Vandy then I'll start believing more.

Yeah a 21 y/o with one hand tied behind his back. And believe me the other hand Will come out this week. CMA did not open the play book up for that first game, so when he does it will score and score often against vandy's D.

i think the major difference is the tide offense is able to dictate to a defense, and score from any where on the field. especially against a vandy defense not that good. by the same token, our defense showed no rush up the gut against a div 1a team all night. of course, i am sure there will be blitz packages available against vandy. the qb nickson is a hard one to catch with his ability to run the ball. the defense will have to start maturing now. i hope prince hall is ready to go.
