I think Darren should be the one. He is the best player in SEC. Those dingleberry's at ESPN is calling for Tim Tebow are shortsided. Tim is no Superman. He maybe a talented QB. But he is no D-mac.

You'd have to just flat out hate Tebow to not vote for him to win the Heisman. He's a beast and you can't really stop him. You can't argue with 51 TDs. DMac is the man...but Tebow is his daddy.

you can make a strong case for either, but it looks like Tebow will win it due to his media popularity. Whether he deserves it or not is fun to debate, but I don't see any way he doesn't win. He's wildly popular.

The emcee of the Heisman presentation should say this when he awards the trophy to Tebow:biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2: Seriously though, I was back and forth between these two until Tebow broke his wrist against FSU...and continued to dominate them anyway. He IS Superman!!

Tebow. Hands down. 50+ TDs in the SEC is crazy good. DMac is a much, much better pro prospect and will make a lot more $$, but Tebow has had the best year in college football.

I think either would make a deserving candidate. I don't mind when someone wins it and there is a close second that stirs up debate. What I hate is when the obvious best player in the nation doesnt win it. I would say both have shown they are the elite of the elite. That being said I still got to give it to Tebow for doing what no other person in college football has ever done AND doing it in the toughest conference in the nation.

I've really enjoyed watching Tebow play this year, as much or more than DMac.

IIRC, Archie Griffin, RB for Ohio State, won back-to-back Heismans in '74 and '75. At the time, it seemed earthshaking because of its precedence. So now a Heisman trifecta by TT is being tossed around. He might be able to pull it off, but given the physicality of the game today, and though he's a big boy, I'm not sure he could do it. But he might.

TT has put on a show as a soph, but personally I would like to see DMac get it because he already put in three years of quality performance.

over the past few years the Heisman has been nothing more than a popularity contest. however, this year the most popular player happens to be the best player. If Tim Tebow does not win it, the trophy is officially a moot point from here on out.
