Tim Tebow vs Darren Mcfadden, Who's the Heisman??

Exactly - the Heisman is supposed to go to the most outstanding player that season. To try to make it an MVP award just makes it impossible to go to team that is loaded with talent.

With as much talent as USC had stockpiled, they probably could have won the same number of games with or without him in 2005. The fact that USC had other talented backs behind him and an excellent defense, shouldn't disqualify him from the Heisman.

All I have to say about 2005 is Vince Young got robbed.

sue weeeeeeeeeeeee Mcfadden and it isnt close. Tevo can win it next yr.

Julio Jones runner up next year for the tide.

Yeah, because as Rex Grossman learned, it's a guarantee you'll win it the next season. I hate that kind of logic. It's the most outstanding player of college football for a season, not a damn life time achievement award. Tebow, statistically, had one of, if not the greatest season for a QB in the history of the SEC, whil McFadden merely had a very good year. I know I'll get blasted for this most likely, but am I the only one who thinks McFadden is just a tad bit overrated? He has a fumbling problem (fourteen on the season) and while the 1,700 yards are impressive and he's without a doubt the sole target for opposing defenses, neither his YPC average nor his TDs compare to many of the previous Heisman winning RBs. Everyone likes to say Tebow pads his stats with short runs, but 9 of 15 of McFadden's TDs came from 10 yards or less and more than 50% of his touchdowns came against non SEC opponents. I just don't think McFadden's all that. Sorry.

C'mon buddy. You're joking I hope. McFadden IS all that...and a bag of chips. That said, the Heisman absolutely should go to Tebow this year and in my mind there really isn't even a debate about it. One of the greatest single season performances in SEC history, whether you hate him or not.
