That article says 75 people have expressed interest in the job, not that they're going to interview 75 people. Also, I don't think they got the memo about Jimbo and FSU.

If they did at least interview him, then I can confirm that this made the "Dwarf Coaches Association" very happy. It is nice to see them look at "minority" candidates. Oh, stop me before I hurt someone.

Not happening. TN took himself out of the mix a day or two ago according to the local TV station. He did get a sit-down interview with the AD, but apparently, it wasn't gonna get the job & thus "removed his name from consideration."

TN is much like Bower around here. Folks appreciate him for his past contributions. However, the defensive slide from the "nasty bunch" days of the late 90s began during TN's days here. The interesting thing is, apparently SOS was about to fire TN as DC. Really lobbied hard for him to get the USM job. Now, it'll be interesting to see what TN's future is under SOS.

In related news, it seems that either Bowden or Fedora (OK State's OC) are rumored to be the top 2 at USM. I've actually heard/more about Fedora these last couple of days, but only God & the A.D. know for sure...(if the A.D. knows...)

Agreed. My first reaction was "75 coaches actually WANT the job??", then I got to thinking that it is probably more of a "get the experience of an interview" thing than wanting to take the job.
