**Official Post-Game Thread**

Guys, you just saw why Hawkins will be competing for the Big 12 championship in a couple of years. At Boise he said"Give me a quarter and we will win the Game." His playbook is so diverse that he can cange his game plan in an instance. I have watched him for several years while he was at Boise and have seen Boise get down during the first Quarter, looking very bad at times, just to win the game going away. We went against one of the premier coaches in the game tonight. If he had been at a big name school, he would have been already mentioned as one of the masterminds in college football. I am sure tha some of you will remember me begging that he be named the coach before we hired Price. I am very happy that we got Saban and would not change a thing but Hawkins would definitely be my top pick if Saban had not have come.

But for our defense, and especially Wallace Gilberry, that talented and well coached Colorado team would have beaten us.

Somehow, that team found a way to convert key third downs and keep our guys on the field. Give those guys some credit. Hawkins & Co. are the real deal.

I hope we don't have to play them again any time soon.

Gilberry thanked Bates , Odom & Anderson for helping with his career

No offense, but we won - and we aren't going to be getting any worse any time soon...

Yep, Wallace "Willis" Gilberry was terrific tonight.

I'll toss in a vote for Rolando, too. What a stud. Hope we can hang on to him three more years.

I sure hope that the D learned something from Gilberry this year!! He is a class act and deserves a shot at playing in the NFL!!

Good job Seniors. Roll Tide Roll!!

Not looking back, looking forward:

Stover- despite the stupid flip, he showed some great speed, and some good blocking.

OL- work, work, work, work, work, work...... looking forward to Crump and Vlachos getting in the mix. We have to go forward here the most.

RB- saw a little fight out of RU and GC....we're going to need them to step up. Looking forward to see Goode healthy.

DL- probably the best overall game they played was the last.....big plus.

LB- Rolo and Zeke got better as the year went on.

Recruiting- lights out and CNS just said on post game "We're going to recruit our tails off for the next month."

The CU noseguard stuffed our run game for most of the night. The CU defense dominated our O line from mid way 2qtr through most of the second half.

Glad to slip out with a win.

RTR.

Close game... glad the good guys won!

Crimson Tide
Total Net Yards 388
Buffaloes
Total Net Yards 388

I'm looking through the game stats now and it's almost eerie. (There are more matches on paper than total yards alone.)

I thought it would be close but it didn't look tight in the first quarter!

Great win for the Tide ... I'm proud of the guys, and congrats to Coach Saban.

Somehow or other, next year we've got to get out of the habit of catastrophic mistakes from the QB position. That horribly ugly second quarter interception nearly did us in.

JPW hung in there, though, and played well in the fourth quarter.
