wow that's one heckuva bunk trophy. It may not be a great Bowl but come on that's just sad and can be found on any grandmothers table in the country. Still it is a trophy so i shouldn't open my pie hole about it lol.

I would like to take this time to thank espn for providing us with Bob Davie and some other guy for 3 1/2 hours of Bama/CNS bashing and utter nonsense.

I'm just glad Keith Brown stayed "unmolested" last night. If he hadn't, we would have had to call Chris Hansen out there.
I can't imagine the results had they molested him. Were they molesting our other receivers or was it just KB that went unmolested? Maybe that was Hawklove in action.

JPW may never learn those things you have listed, but he must learn to scramble for positive yards or throw the ball away when the receiver he is stairing down is not open - ie. double covered.

It seems that once a passing play breaks down at all JPW does one of two things: he either says "Uh oh, I'm running this thing" and he makes a play, or he completely freaks out and spins all around until he is either sacked for a big loss or he runs backwards until he can throw it away. The former is very good, the latter is what worries me.

The molestation problem is unacceptable and the NCAA should address it. When I was a kid, I heard Howard Kossell (don't remember what game and it may have been pro) point out that a particular player was just beginning to feel himself. This behavior in public is highly inappropriate as well and I am appalled.

At least they made a point to tell us that Gilberry was right up there with tackles for losses and 2nd in the SEC in sacks. I think I heard that 3 or 4 times. After hearing these guys, I think Vern and Gary are actually pretty decent and the 3 Dave's could possibly be worthy of an Emmy.

The officiating crew was from the WAC. I heard that they let a lot of things "go" out there in the west. ;)

For what it's worth my .02!! (re: JPW, Saban & team)

Ok for everyone that wants to say they wish JP would be put on the bench he is not the only player out on the field. If other people don't do their job then it effects everyone. It takes all 11 players to make a play run right. His biggest problem is that when he makes that first mistake he doesn't know how to put that behind him on go onto the next play. I believe with the off season Coach Saban wil get that corrected. I also believe in Coach Saban and believe that if we had a better option Coach would have put the QB out there. After the Arkansas game I will have total confidence in Saban not matter what I think of the decision that is made I feel fully confident that Coach Saban is going to put us in a position to win. On to the Seniors that are leaving us there are some that I am glad to see leave but I will not discuss those players for the fact that they stuck through everything that has happened the last few years. The future looks bright and if we can get atleast 15-20 more players to believe and buy into the system like Rolando McClain has then I hope everyone has enjoyed kicking us Because it is about to be over for them. McClain showed what playing for the University of Alabama is all about last night he endured two injuries and would not come out of the game. He showed all the upper classmen the type of player they should be he showed more team leadership than any of them have all year. He will be a player we can trust to play with his heart and never give up on a game. With him, Zek Knight and Prince Hall and if Jimmy Johns can catch on we could have one of the best LB groups in the country next year. For what its worth there's my .02
Roll Tide!!

Re: For what it's worth my .02!!

Roll Tide back at you.

I think next year will be a good start, we will have a good first string at LB. I wish and can't wait for the day that our second string is as good as our first, much like USC West. I think all the talk about the QB spot and the back ups will be fun for the next several months. Spring and Fall, at every spot for the years to come we all will have plenty to talk about. Saban and staff have us going in the right direction. JPW will be a senior with a lot of game experience, and our back ups will WILL get to see time in the game, next year. Big, questions will be on the table much through the fall practices and right into next year. Who plays, safety, rush end, corner, center, guard, wide receiver, running back rotation, and what do we have at QB(possibly a two spot rotation, it can work or it can hurt)? It all starts with this incoming class of new recruits, pay attention and check out the recruiting page!

Happy New Year and Roll Tide Roll!

What surprises me is that he waited so long. But I guess it's better to start late than never!

Was it Broadrick Deadrick?

Not sure . It could've been Simon Castle , Henry Avena , Vince Wahl , Roshon Jackson , Kevin Johnson , Ken Sanders , Linus Mickle , Markie Carroll , Barry Greenberg ........ :p_blank:

The Buffs are for real.
Hawkins will gameplan for any and all weaknesses he sees.

They gave UGA all we could handle last year and never gave over in any way.

Hats off to Bama for a well earned win.,

Bodes well for next year imo.

Roll Tide.

I agree with that sentiments. Coach Hawk's teams never quit and will never lose for a lack of trying. His offense is so multiple, diverse, and well-coached that he can make adjustments on the fly that most coaches couldn't do in a week of preparation. By the same token, Coach Saban is a great defensive mind. This was more of chess match than most would have noticed. Hawkins stayed true to his intentions to try to run that inside draw/outside sweep play because it forced Saban into play lots of zero and cover 1 situations with man coverage down field. Saban and our defense took away his run game and forced his son to win it and he almost did enough to do so.

I knew this game was going to be a fight going in, but I got a little excited by the early explosion. Winning this game is a great win because it takes 60 full minutes to beat Hawkin's teams. Lets hope we can play a more consistent 60 minutes in the future, but we should be happy that they didn't falter like OU.
