**Official Post-Game Thread**

I'm glad we won. That way, I won't get heckled as much when I'm at the Rose Bowl wearing my Alabama gear.

RM stepped up huge tonight, and so did WG and MC. JPW had a good game, despite the tailing off of the effort relative to the first quarter.

The first quarter was unreal, I had no idea who was really QB ;)

Roll Tide Roll y'all from out here on the West Coast. I sung the Rammer Jammer also for the family after it was official that we'd won.

I made a mistake, I looked at it as the team limping home, but, CNS made a good point. it would have been easy to fold in the fourth quarter especially after losing the last four, and say here we go again, but they didn't.
CU was in a similiar position against OU, and persevered. Didn't happen tonight! ROLL TIDE!!

Close game... glad the good guys won!

Crimson Tide
Total Net Yards 388
Buffaloes
Total Net Yards 388

I'm looking through the game stats now and it's almost eerie. (There are more matches on paper than total yards alone.)

I thought it would be close but it didn't look tight in the first quarter!

Thx for the link :( ........ ;)

Not looking back, looking forward:

Stover- despite the stupid flip, he showed some great speed, and some good blocking.

OL- work, work, work, work, work, work...... looking forward to Crump and Vlachos getting in the mix. We have to go forward here the most.

RB- saw a little fight out of RU and GC....we're going to need them to step up. Looking forward to see Goode healthy.

DL- probably the best overall game they played was the last.....big plus.

LB- Rolo and Zeke got better as the year went on.

Recruiting- lights out and CNS just said on post game "We're going to recruit our tails off for the next month."

I agree on all points. Did you know Rolando McClain was a true freshman? I used to know it but now I wonder. ;) He is a beast and a true football warrior. :hurray:I know we all see guys every season that sit for quarters at a time for a hang nail. That guy wants to be on the field and he knocks slobber and creates havoc while he is there! I can't wait to watch him get better. Thats just scary. :willy_nilly:

RTO's right... We really need to upgrade the talent on the OL. I'm proud of what our guys up front did tonight, seeing that they've scarcely played three games together as a unit for their entire career.

We need depth among the big uglies, enough so that we can keep a talented group healthy all year long. That's what it takes to win championships in this league.

Well I'm definitely not going to moan or complain about a win, but dang I sure do hope we can protect a lead better those final minute games are making me gray early!

Man what can you say about Rolando. He's just a tough dude. Seperated shoulder broken thumb and didn't slow him down to much!

Mustin had him a last game to remember and that felt good.

Roll Tide all!

The CU noseguard stuffed our run game for most of the night. The CU defense dominated our O line from mid way 2qtr through most of the second half.

Glad to slip out with a win.

RTR.

.... from the moment Britt went out :(

I made the point in the game thread, but our OL play went down sharply when Britt went out. I didn't see him come back. Did anyone else notice?

Thanks for the assessment.

One thing that bodes very well is the lack of penalties all year long. To me that shows a team that is being well coached. With more talent on the way Bama will be back in it's rightful place in the college football universe in a couple of years.

WHEW! I'm glad we pulled out the win. They made a heck of a game out of it even though we jumped out big in the first quarter. Cody Hawkins is a good QB. John Parker Wilson may not be the best passer or the quickest thinker, but he plays with a lot of heart. He's a good leader for the team. This win will get us off to a good start in the spring.

So, how's the recruiting going? :biggrin2:

I'll be rocking this time tomorrow night! :PDT_git:

Happy New Year! and ROLL TIDE!!

I thought it was a well played game on both sides- for once the refs just let them play, no stupid calls or 'what-the-?' penalties. It was a pretty fun game to watch for the most part and I think BAMA represented the SEC very well. Now we can all look forward to some awesome recruiting for BAMA on NSD. Congrats to Coach Saban and the team for the win! RTR!!!:BigA:
