**Official Post-Game Thread**

the start of the game was amazing, at last a nice lead early, everyone looked sharp. then colorado made some big adjustments, and our run game was gone, and the wide open pass patterns. they got a feel for our defense, and ripped our secondary apart. even so, we won, and what a relief. gilberry was an all american in this game. mcclain won his spurs in this one as well. offensively, once again as the offensive line goes we go. second half, we could not run the ball, or pass well, because of the pressure now being exerted on jpw which we all know is going to hurt. he made a great run for the first down that probably saved the game for us. should be quite a few newcomers next year, and anxious to see 8 wins next year.

Your team did enough to win, and that's what's important - glad you guys went out on a winning note, and represented the best conference in the country well!

I know one thing for sure, The announcer for espn-Bob Davies-(I think was his name), is a real goob. When CU got their last fumble and Bama stopped them from making points he didn"t say anything but when Bama got the take away and scored only three points he said CU got the best of Bama because We didn't score a touchdown. Then he went on &on that that was Bamas 1st points of the 2nd half but Cu had only scored 3 pts. if I remember correctly.

Yeah, and whats worse, he is out from now on....:p_blank:

I think it was because we changed centers and moved our best center to the LG and the back up center got ran over by the Buffs NT. AC must have done good from the looks of things prior to him moving over to LG.

LBs for next year will be fine, and in the middle of the DL we will be fine. We need a pass rusher or two to step up with W.G. gone. We also need a good run stopping Safety, saw a big missed tackle from a departing Safety on the only major run, after R.Mc. went out with the hurt arm.

We need to a just better in the second half of games on O, but I really like throwing up the points in the first half if we can just carry it over to the second half.

No offense, but we won - and we aren't going to be getting any worse any time soon...

I would have worded it differently, but I agree. No offense against the '06 team, coaches, or seniors but the 7-6 '07 team was a little better team.

We could win eight or nine games in '08 - who knows how many in '09?

The Buffaloes are going to make big noise in the Big-12 conference, too.

That little freshman quarterback of theirs will send a bunch of teams home with an L before he's finished.

Best looking college cheerleaders of '07? Colorado. ;)

The CU noseguard stuffed our run game for most of the night. The CU defense dominated our O line from mid way 2qtr through most of the second half.

Glad to slip out with a win.

RTR.
I think our o-line does fine until defenses start to blitz, then our QB makes very bad decisions and gives away points when he feels any pressure at all. I think CU's coaches must not have watched us play this year. All you have to do is blitz us and Wilson will give away points. So many teams start out playing us straight up, and we wear them out. Then, they decide to take some chances and blitz. That's when Wilson does his thing, and the offense shuts down. He actually did a little better tonight. He made a few big runs and took a sack instead of throwing it up, but I just don't see him ever being better than a .500 winning percentage QB in the SEC. If teams wouldn't blitz, he could be an all-american. Unfortunately, the SEC feeds on weaknesses, and they know his.

.... from the moment Britt went out :(

Yep, once Britt went out and Caldwell shifted over being replaced at C by Cardwell the OL play went downhill. Cardwell got manhandled on several occasions. I'm hoping Vlachos can take over at C next year and allow Antoine (assuming he returns) to move over to guard though because I think that'll be best for the line. Hopefully they'll all improve greatly between now and next year.

Great win: winning season, add to bowl victory total, JPW and team gets confidence, team gets monkey (losing streak) off of it back - does not have to carry it throughout the offseason.

Bama was the better team. CU had to make several spectacular plays and the somewhat flukey 2nd TD to even make it close. Most of what Bama did on O was easy. Now that it is over, making the plays to win at the end will be helpful down the road, esp for JPW.

Another well coached game for Bama. Never sat on the lead or played prevent D. As usual this staff did most things just right.

We just beat the team that beat then #3 Oklahoma..........

I agree with RTO that our D-line played well.........

RB's looked solid, Upchurch has some explosiveness..........

JPW's run for 1st down prolly won the game for us.........

Davies made the point that we are a young team. We will still be a young team two years from now, because the young talent we are recruiting will be hard to keep off the field..........

RM looks to be a natural MLB..........

There is no way to accurately assess how much this win means to the Program!!
