That was one stunningly impressive win. I expected the Bama/Ga. game to be competive, I didn't see this one coming.

And yes, a no. 2 ranking is deserved.

Looks like all the predictions about the SEC east being the stronger division are up in smoke, right now anyway!!!!!

LSU63 - Thanks. I don't think most of us saw that coming. Like you, I thought it would be competitive and was just hoping Bama stayed within 7.

There's a lot of football left. Bama still has many, many games to go. Right now rankings don't mean a whole lot until the Tide has played that final game.
 
Thanks. I heard a sportswriter on the radio last week say the SEC West was not a contentder for the national championship, but SEC East was...

Yeah right! Wishful thinking the way they acted last year in Tuscaloosa and what they have said on their message board on how we will be treated I DOUBT IT! You couldn't pay me to go there. I know some of their fans are ok but MOST are NOT. The whole Saban thing they are taking a little to far. For anyone who geos down to BR good luck and be safe....you'll need it.

You might be missing out on something special. I have great memories of games in Baton Rouge...
 
The Bama / LSU game will be a slobber knocker fo sho! Thanx for coming on here and posting, you represent your school well.
 
I've heard some horror stories , but they come every year and form many fan bases. I've always had a good time there I remember going when I was 9 with my grandfather and dad (first road game) so I have some of the memories you are talking about as well NYBamafan.

I don't mind going there at all and am looking forward to it. I'm going with an LSU friend of mine made a deal with him last year I took him he'd take me.

Thanks 63 and I hope all remains good on both fronts so when we meet up it'll be all that more meaningful.

Just ignore him, there are troublemakers everywhere, clearly.

The Bama game was opposite our game in Tiger Stadium and I didn't get to see it, only the highlights, damn it. Best day for the West Division ever and I didn't get to see the shocker. Got to be a replay this week sometime. I'd really like to watch this one.

I had Bama picked to make a move in 2009 based on youth and depth issues this year, but early is good if you get the opportunity. I think nobody gets out of the SEC undefeated this year, but barring injuries to key players, Bama seems like a cinch for a BCS bowl.

As a BAMA fan who was born and grew up in Baton Rouge for 23 years, I saw quite a few of Bama/LSU fans. I tailgate with some of the biggest LSU fans when I make the games and have always enjoyed my experiences. There are ALWAYS going to be some of the rude obnoxious fans, but this holds true for every school. If I get tickets, I will be there again this year.
 
LSU is the only team that I think can physically match us. We may both lose before now and then...but LSU and Alabama are probably the two best teams in the conference.
 
Thanks LSU 63. You guys along with Auburn have been doing the heavy lifting for the Western Div. for the past few years. Maybe we can contribute going forward and shut up some of that talk coming out of Florida and Tenn. I don't hear so much of it from UGa.
I'm looking forward to the game with you guys. I for one still think you guys have the most solid team in the conference. The question I have is can you get enough QB performance against high scoring teams, such as Florida, to win on the road.

Sorry I disagree, we should be ranked no higher then 5 especially since LSU has not lost and arethe defending BCS Champs IMHO
 
2TT , just brush up your cajun and you'll live . :) It's not as bad as most would lead you to believe . IMO , nothing is worse than Athens or Athens coming to your house .

31-0 halftime/ knowshon had 34 yds in the game/ georgia had a 92 yd punt return, blocked a punt, recovered an onside kick and had a 65 yd kickoff return, all in second half, ( need some special teams work)/ the score was 41 - 17 with 3:45 to play. 2 garbage time touchdowns made it respectable.

about the youth and depth issues, I'll make you a deal, i f you guys cut nick a little slack, and give him respect for the job he has done in T-town, We'll do the same for Les for the job in BR.!;)

most of us know that yourself, 63, fishead, gorilla and a couple others from LSU contribute to this board and are appreciated. 2 tt isn't a troublemaker,not usually, not defending his post, just sayin'
