So is the worst we can do this year the Sugar Bowl?
Not necessarily.
If Florida won the SECCG and didn't go to Miami --which they probably would go to Miami--, we'd go to another bowl.

You have to hand it to JPW tonight. Never got rattled, stayed focused and when we needed the senior QB to take control and get a win he without a doubt did exactly that. Congrats to the entire team, coaching staff and the fans, especially the ones who braved the trip and the atmosphere today.
Someone posted on thread II that if TT won they might jump us. you don't really think that's likely do you? Possible maybe but I would hope not.:BigA:
Thanks Envoy. Classy of you.Congratulations on Bama's victory. It was a hard faught game and a painful loss, but I believe the better team won.
Good luck the rest of the season!
This game was much more than being favored by three and winning by six. We were up against the defending 2007 National Champions, in their own house. In doing so we went into one of the most hostile college football environments in the nation. The Tide faced one adversity after another, including some horrible officiating. We played them close the whole game, including a tie at halftime and overtime at the end of regulation. JPW and Company found a way to hold on and pull out the win. Truthfully the only weakness I saw on their entire team was their freshman QB. Not that he didn't give it his all. To the contrary, he played a game far over his level. He made mistakes, but those were only due to his inexperience. One day he's going to be a terrific QB.
Many have questioned whether JPW has what it takes to lead his team through adversity and win the game when it was on the line. Tonight, he answered that question. For that he has earned the respect of the Bama nation and the college football world as a whole.
It wasn't the best game the Tide has played, but they showed they deserve their #1 ranking. Congrats to CNS, the entire coaching staff, JPW and the entire Crimson Tide football team. 10 down, 4 to go!! Still undefeated, still #1. :BigA:
Roll Tide :BigA:
Don't know. Polls are a beauty contest. We were a 3 pt favorite, won by six. I don't care if we do get jumped, actually--so long as we win out and make the Championship game. Then a poll won't matter--everyone will KNOW we are Number One.
I'm hoarse and drunk, but at least my blood pressure has came down.. Roll Tide Roll. :BigA::BigA::BigA:
