    question: Alvin Lee

Just a few notes on Mr. Lee. He was a JUCO transfer, and played at Bama for the 87-88 and 88-89 seasons. He was a dead-eye three point shooter, and even though he was considered a defensive liability early in his Bama career, the lightbulb really went on for him sometime during his senior...

Link: Changes could be coming to SEC schedule

Thanks for posting this Rick. This is good news. It's unbelievably unfair that half of the league's off weeks are before Bama, and the other half are spread among the other 11 teams!

Time for a little prospect trivia .... (page 7 is current)

Re: Time for a little prospect trivia .... (newness starts on page 5) I'm not sure who you're looking for, but Deandre Green, who signed with AU in the very late 90s, wore those candy-striped socks. He looked quite precious! :)

Re: Time for a little prospect trivia .... (newness starts on page 5) This was a good trivia question. I was really young, but I remember how disappointed I was that an in-state LB of that caliber would want to go somewhere other than Bama, especially after the defense that we fielded that year.

Re: Time for a little prospect trivia .... (newness on page 5) Here's the clue as promised. He was from Texas, but committed and played for Miami. In some circles, he was considered the nation's top overall prospect, but he was the almost unanimous choice for top LB.

Re: Prospect Trivia Part 2 Loyal and LCN, you're spot on with London. Spellman isn't the guy that was rated ahead of him though (unless I'm misremembering). I'll give a clue soon if you want it.

Re: Time for a little prospect trivia .... I honestly have no idea on the Bear Bryant recruit, but I'm pretty sure the Mississippi QB was Dexter McCleon, who signed with Clemson, and was moved to DB.

Prospect Trivia Part 2 Since I got LCN's prospect trivia challenge part 1, I figured it was my right (or responsibility) to try to stump you guys, especially LCN. Here we go. Bill Curry was roundly criticized for his recruiting ability, but he did manage to land 1 ultra-highly coveted...

Re: Time for a little prospect trivia .... I'm sticking with Tim Watts (my guess from Page 3). I'm pretty sure he was the nation's #1 FB prospect. Wish LCN would clear this up once and for all!

Re: Time for a little prospect trivia .... I seem to remember a fullback out of Selma named Tim Watts who was extremely highly regarded, maybe even the #1 FB prospect in the country. Was it him?

    This Year's Donta Hightower?

I don't know if it will happen this year or not, but I think Atchison will surprise some people. He was a very underrated member of this signing class.

Question: Should AP rank Utah #1?

Absolutely not. Just because you beat one "good" team at the end of the season doesn't warrant a Number 1 ranking. If that happened, then every team in the nation would put together a high school schedule, knowing that if they clean it, they can play one game and win the national championship.

Isn't nice to actually believe that we have a chance when it comes down to us and Florida?
