Greenland has a population of 56,000. America should send 100,000 “undocumented immigrants” to “culturally enrich” the island. They should then be given full rights as citizens. Finally, they can hold a referendum on leaving Denmark for America. There’s nothing wrong with this because replacing populations to change the voting demographics is a myth.

The big difference is that, in the two cases you cite, I strongly suggest that there were capable people in place in either instance that could step up, and a party that would not just rubber stamp every stupid/inane action.

He is allowed to go on these unhinged actionas unimpeded (apparently). Oh, there are a few who might cluck-cluck to the press, but not single MAGA in Congress (nor in his administration) would I ever expect to try to do anything to stop him.

The Norwegian government has no role in the granting of the prize. The Storting (parliament) appoints the commission members, but, by law, no member of the government can even serve on the committee. It seems like someone in the West Wing would do a little research, not that he would care about accuracy...
