Why are we not talking about the women's basketball team?

Title IX and perception are enough reasons to keep WBB in Coleman, where it has been since 2016. We know that WBB is on a different priority tier than FB/MBB, Baseball/Softball/Gymnastics, but you can't actually do anything that confirms that outwardly.

Not a good look losing your coach to USF. I get that women’s basketball is different than football but still.

I wonder how much of a pay bump she is getting. It’s a good deal for her. She can draw state retirement here and now gets to work in Florida with no state income tax.
...and a house on the beach! ;)

I think CB4 is dead on. Spend the last years of her career in FLA, get out of a VERY tough conference and easier path to NCAAT at USF. And, I think we need to either increase spending on WBB or move back to Foster and pack it out at 2500 per game to have a better atmosphere. All that said, when will the "need to spend more on NIL" stop? There's only so much $$ and you have to keep MBB and FB happy first or noone eats.

Gonna miss her-The Wendall Hudson/Stephany Smith years were complete disasters and she had to build the program from scratch basically.
She definitely built it from scratch. To pull her from Texas Tech was a coup. The WBB program was the worst in the SEC and one of the worst in the nation before she got here. One of the best turnaround jobs in the school’s history regardless of the sport.

I think AD Byrne got this one right. Coach Love seems like the real deal and is familiar with the program and the SEC. And, nice to see players "re-signing" to come back next year. I hope this executive order allowing ONLY one transfer works-. I know they are well paid, but it has to be brutal to re-recruit your team every single year.
