Bama Game Thread: MBB Sweet Sixteen - Bama vs Wolverines - Friday 6:35cst TBS/TRU

Ha. Sorry. Maryland, right?
Last year was Robert Morris, St. Mary's, and BYU before we lost to Duke. But you are right.......we shot 41% and 49% from 3 in the St. Mary's and BYU games so it can be done. But they definitely didn't have the defense and size Michigan has. We shot 45% from 3 against Texas Tech. I think it will take close to that again for us to win.

The Injuries were probably a major factor in that as well.

Wonder what players were out with injuries during those dips? 🤔
I looked at Vandy, Tenn, and home against Auburn. We shot 22%, 23%, and 26% from 3 in those games. UT we were missing Allen and Holloway. The others had the full compliment of shooters. Vandy looks like the starters shot well. The bench was 0-16 from 3. UT everyone shot poorly including 2-9 for Philon and 1-6 for Bol Bowen. Auburn had 2-7 for Philon and 0-5 for Wrightsell.

Reading on some Michigan X post articles. A lot of their fans feel like their biggest weakness is their 3P defense. Because they play so big, and their guards are a bit slow, but tall, that our bigs will get plenty of open looks. So this may come down to Allen, Taylor, Sherrell, Jemison and Noah hitting 3s
