Who the hell thinks our leaders are smart and competent?

By definition, the big government crowd. One can post an endless list of government waste, corruption and stupidity and show that a masssive amount of government spending has no constitutional justification. And then many will still clamor for more government to solve problems (that government caused in the first place). This is how a country dies by suicide.
