Of the six major bowl games (Cotton, Fiesta, Orange, Peach, Rose, and Sugar) which is your favorite? Which is the most prestigious? In what order would you rank them?

Sugar
Orange
Rose
Cotton
Fiesta
Peach
The most prestigious “ The Grandaddy Of Them All” The Rose Bowl
My favorite The Sugar Bowl
My favorite is the Sugar as well.

The Rose Bowl is the most prestigious, no doubt. (The views are tremendous with the mountains in the background.) But the facility is an absolute dump according to most accounts...

I do not consider any of them prestigious anymore.

I agree it used to be the Rose Bowl, followed by the Sugar, then the Orange, and finally the Cotton.

The Fiesta gained some in the BCS era, as the Cotton waned. The Peach has never been prestigious, until the playoff era began.

So much of this depended upon the teams and conferences involved. The Rose always had the Big Ten/Pac 8-12 haughtiness going for it. The Sugar always had some sort of NC implication, most often due to Alabama. And the Orange did as well, most often due to Oklahoma/Nebraska. Often the Cotton was involved in the conversation with Texas, and of course Notre Dame threw its weight into the mix with each of them over the years except the Rose.

All of that ended with the BCS and it was completely destroyed with the playoff.

Edited to add: There will never again be the kind of sporting spectacle that New Years Eve/Day was with the Orange, Cotton, Rose, and Sugar bowls deciding college football's champion.

The Rose Bowl is my favorite. I grew up in California in a USC family, so attending games at the stadium is a core memory for me. Being able to attend the Alabama-Texas game in 2009 was a fantastic capstone on my last year as a student at Alabama. I get the criticisms of the facility and parking, and they're valid. But if you have a core memory, it's hard to completely shake it.

Amen on that... New Year's Day was second only to Christmas Day growing up! All day top notch foo ball.

I probably like the Sugar, Orange, and Fiesta the most and equally.

The Rose Bowl is probably the most historically prestigious but it’s just never been that exciting to me wrt the PAC-12 vs B1G ties though we have fared well there in recent years.

Everything is so watered down now though and also complicated in trying to keep track of what game is what.

The NCG often takes place at one of the Major Bowls sites but it’s not technically the Sugar, Rose, Fiesta, Orange bowl anymore.

I actually really miss the BCS and pre-BCS eras even though it was much more muddy in deciding a NC.
