Trump's Policies XIII

He's not smart enough to know when he's whipped. He might as well give up on the nuclear option in the Senate. Those guy are smart enough to look across the aisle and realize what would happen to them the next flip comes. However, prepare to hear two more years of "SAVE," ad nauseum. That he's a failed president in a failed presidency is obvious to all except his 30%+. He knows it and it eats him up...

Agree, Victor Orban getting voted out recently ought to be sending chills through Trump and his Magats. Indeed, you can go too far imposing your ideology...

What is amazing is that Republicans cant talk past him consistently to put him in the rear view mirror.

Except Magyar is what literally no politician is in the US - generally conservative with some moderate/left leanings. We'd call him a centrist - they don't exist in our politics anymore.

Yes, but the security blanket for the narcissist is that just so long as he never actually admits he was a colossal screwup, he never was. I've dealt with a few of these morons in recent years, and it's always the same: you can see that they KNOW they're hooked and cooked, but they literally believe "just so long as I never admit it, I won."

Hell, Trump himself did it when he said the difference in his loss and Al Gore's was "besides, he conceded."

Somebody give me - beyond his name association with success (which is about like the Rose Bowl convincing us all they were the most important bowl game) and winning two elections the depended upon a technicality and people hating one other person worse than he......name me ONE THING this guy at which this guy has succeeded beyond avoiding the iron hotel.

Casinos? Failure
Trump Shuttle? Failure
USFL? Failure, but by God, he'll tell you, "We won the lawsuit." Yes, and Hillary won the popular vote, too.
Wrestlemania host? This imbecile was the only guy to PAY FOR IT when there was no bidding process.
Trump University? Failed in seven years
Trump Steaks? Lasted two months
Plaza Hotel? He doesn't own it anymore

Tell me - what? What has HE PERSONALLY done?

The Big Beautiful Bill? He named it, that's it, and the suckers lined up
The 2017 Tax Cut? Even many conservatives will tell you it's a disaster and more than one right-wing commentator has pointed out Paul Ryan kept Trump far away from the details
3 SCOTUS justices? The same 3 a President Romney or DeSantis woulda gotten via McConnell

Meanwhile, he's:
- bungled the pandemic response about as badly as could have been done
- tacked on trillions to the national debt
- lost a war with one of those spithole countries in the Middle East (his word)

Most Presidents have successes and failures, and the hope is there's more good than bad. (I know Nixon had Watergate, but he also had immense successes that get lost in his major bad thing; indeed, his legacy of success exceeds Trump, who has been President just as long and who has only survived due to the capitulation of the formerly conservative party of law and order.
