At first glance that schedule looks like a lot of W's. I'd really like to see us schedule a PAC 10 or Big Least....to shut them up for a little while at least.
Last I checked Louisville and Boise St. arent really in the same class as Arizona St. either. QUOTE]
Yep,
Boise State would whoop Arizona State Much like they did their other PAC 10 opponent. You know, the team that spanked USC last year.

Boise St. did not play USC last year or even in the last ten years. Boise St. did upset Oklahoma 43-42 in the Fiesta Bowl last year and finished a perfect 13-0.

I may have worded it wrong. I was referring to Boise's whooping of Oregon State which spanked USC. I stand by my comment that Boise is stronger than Arizona State.
OU does play Miami, Florida plays FSU, and OSU plays Washington, a PAC 10 team. Our 2008 schedule plays no one in the calibur of the three mentioned.
I would love to see Bama play in the super dome.

Boise St. 13-0
Arizona St. 7-6
Safe to say Boise St. was the better team.
Dirk Koetter coached at Boise St. and Zona St. but got his walking papers after last years 7-6 record. Dirk was 26-10 with one conference championship at Boise St. and 40-34 at Arizona St. 9-3 was his best year.

I think we will replace UTEP with another opponent but bear in mind the opponent has to have the same date available as we do and be willing to play Alabama. I know you know it isn't as simple as picking up the phone and saying "Hey ya'll come over Saturday and let's play some ball."

Come on Bayou why did you have to come and bring logic and facts into this discussion.
silentsam was talking about Oregon State from last year. Boise State hosted OSU last year and killed them. Later in the season, OSU would hold off USC on a 4th and Goal to beat USC in Corvallis, OR. OSU didn't "spank" USC; for awhile it looked like that was going to happen but USC came back and nearly pulled off the win deep in Beaver territory.

Wow, Ohio State only has 3 really tough games. (Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan) I really wouldn't be surprised to see them finish out the season with only one loss or less.
Couldn't we get a lower quality team to come and play as long as they have that date open? Not to mention how money talks.
Let's take a look at some of these "Big Boys" and see who they schedule out of conference.....

Thats what I was saying. I might not have been clear. Boise St and Louisville are much better than Arizona St. Over the last seven years Boise St. is 72-11 and Louisville is 65-16. Arizona St. on the other hand is 44-37. Maybe I shouldve said Arizona St. isn't really in the same class as Boise St. and Louisville. I figured it would be obvious since Louisville and Boise St. played in BCS bowls last year while Arizona St. was busy getting their rear ends handed to them by Hawaii in the Black and Decker Coffee Grinder Bowl.![]()
