Our OL has two All-SEC players; our DL has three.

Here's the bottom line: we lost Warmack and Fluker. Two of the best OL we've ever had. Two top 12 picks in the NFL draft. Of course, there was going to be a drop off.

Those guys were maulers in the run game. It showed up on film. It showed up with the number of defenders flat on their backs.

Do Arie K and Shep have to do the same thing? Heck no. They may be less 'physically dominant' but they can still use good technique to open holes.

So, is there less 'push'? Probably so. Can we still have a great offense? You better believe it.

It just seems like, from what I've read, Chemistry problems. I think they'll be great once they iron it out.

Why is Steen so underrated? If Bama wins it all that means he would had been on the line for three straight season as a starter.

Steen said it was chemistry yesterday. He also said last year's OL had chemistry issues for the first few weeks. Remember those sacks against Western Kentucky?

Unfortunately I do. We don't have that luxury this season though.

I'm not worried just wondering if I should.

Keep in mind we were really worried about the OL play after the WKU game last year in which we gave up 6 sacks. Our coaches are the best in the business are developing talent. We'll be fine as the season progresses.

One thing that did concern me was losing Coach Stoutland. I know that Coach Cristobal is lighting up recruiting, I wonder though if that will also translate on the field, being that I don't know much about his coaching stints.

I dont think Coach Saban would have hired him if he wasn't confident in his coaching abilities.

I suggest you do some reading on Cristobal's reputation as a coach. Folks like him.

I will definitely read about him. I'm not doubting his work at all because like I said his been doing big things. Just haven't gotten around to reading up on him.

VT has a strong DL. First half should be interesting, but it's gonna start to get real for VT starting midway of the third quarter.

Would LOVE to see Dee Hart come all the way back from those injuries and have a breakout year.

I hope we see Dee return more this year too. He was really starting to get into a groove until his injury. He could be huge for us with a full healthy year, not to mention the young guys coming in as well.

I'm noticing a lot of talk and concern about our O-line. I know that Saban has made some comments that might be fueling this, but I think it's all coachspeak. I think we'll be just fine on the OL, and these guys will only get better. I think a year from now we'll really appreciate having Coach Cristobal, I think Saban hit a homerun when he added him to the staff. Granted, we may not be as dominating as we were there last season when our guys were paving run lanes as wide as the loop that goes around ATL, but I think we'll be fundamentally sound(very few holding calls, false starts) and do a good job of protecting AJ.

WOW _surpris I sure am pulling for him, but this is the most surprising thing I have heard so far out of camp. Good for him.

-- AJ McCarron and Blake Sims were throwing passes as a duo during the second period of viewing. Behind them was the duo of Alec Morris and Luke Del Rio. Maybe today we'll learn who Alabama's third-string quarterback is.
