Definitely. But successful as a D-1 HC. UT is definitely going to do worse, at least as far as X's and O's.HC at Youngstown State, think his brother is also on his staff there. Loose cannon, scary temper for being the face of a college team.

Willie Taggart's name is getting thrown around a lot for having a mediocre year and all the offseason issues that he had.So Dot.com over at Warchant has gotten information that Jimbo will accept the TAMU job. On their Hotboard, they are listing Willie Taggart on their short list. They will complete more as the situation unfolds.
He also allowed a convicted rapist on the team this year. After the Schiano fiasco, I suspect that would be an issue, at least at UT right now.HC at Youngstown State, think his brother is also on his staff there. Loose cannon, scary temper for being the face of a college team.
I thought the same thing. I guess he had his starting QB injured but I saw nothing at Oregon that made me think this guy is the next big coach.Willie Taggart's name is getting thrown around a lot for having a mediocre year and all the offseason issues that he had.
That's the thing about the phony moral outrage over Schiano -- they can't turn around and hire anybody remotely questionable from an ethics standpoint without being total hypocrites and frauds. He also allowed a convicted rapist on the team this year. After the Schiano fiasco, I suspect that would be an issue, at least at UT right now.

I think that would be a best case scenario for them at this point.UT reportedly meeting with Mike Gundy in Dallas today. Link
They are interviewing everyone. I am half-expecting a call.UT reportedly meeting with Mike Gundy in Dallas today. Link
Not likely B1G your phone call will be coming from the Fighting Illini. :wink:They are interviewing everyone. I am half-expecting a call.
Didn’t Gundy already turn them down back in 2012?UT reportedly meeting with Mike Gundy in Dallas today. Link
It never hurts to ask twice. She, I'm sorry he, may not have heard you properly the first time.Didn’t Gundy already turn them down back in 2012?
Typical UcheaT miscommunication - they interviewed Moe Bandy about becoming the regular opening act at the Ryman Auditorium...sad thing, he would've been a better charismatic if not likewise "hang-dog" leader than the Pukeoranginas got with Botch...Didn’t Gundy already turn them down back in 2012?
You have proof?
Either link us to your evidence or stop slandering the man.
I feel like you guys really jumped the shark here. I simply said there IS evidence of potential wrong doing. Not that I personally have evidence that isn't out there. It's clear you all don't agree with the evidence (and I understand that most people don't consider hearsay as evidence) and a lot of other people don't either. That's fine. I respect your point of view. If I went to far with my comments then I apologize. I think it took away from the central point I was trying to make. If Alabama tried to hire Greg Schiano in any capacity I would not be supportive of the hire. I would not be supportive of the hire of any coach who was at Penn St. during Sandusky's tenure. That's just how I feel and I can understand why UT fans would feel the same way. I also understand that a lot of UT fans thought they were getting Gruden and that Schiano, regardless of the Penn St. accusations, was not a glamorous hire in their eyes. That doesn't make it right to drag his name through the mud because that's not who they wanted but I truly believe that a lot of UT fans felt uneasy about the hire for the same reasons I would. If you all would welcome Schiano with open arms at Alabama then more power to you. I would feel uneasy about the hire and I have a right to feel that way. I don't have a right to accuse someone of a serious crime they didn't commit and that was not my intent. I'll be sure to collect my thoughts better in the future before posting about something of this nature but I do think you stepped over the line by calling me a liar. If you disagree with whatever is out there about Schiano that's fine but I didn't write those articles and I never said they were true..Okay, I'll call it lies then. You have lied when you said that you have evidence. You do not have any. I have provided the only actual data regarding the allegations.
I didn't want him at OSU and made that clear here when he was hired, but that is because of his mouth. I never even brought up the PSU stuff because it is all third hand testimony which has been refuted by everyone else.
I totally understand where you're coming from, but I cannot take any complaint about Schiano in regards to the Jerry Sandusky incidents, and ignore the lack of outrage over Shoop being hired from PSU, and/or Title IX settlements involving UT football players recruited and coached by Botch Jones. You can't complain about one guy on those issues, and totally ignore those in your program that came from the same place/time as Sandusky, or ignore the same type of allegations within your own program.I feel like you guys really jumped the shark here. That's a fair point but I think it's a little different for some fans if the coach in question will be the face of your program. But, you're completely right about the lack of outrage IRT Shoop. To be clear - it wouldn't make any difference to me whether it was the head coach, defensive coordinator, quality control etc. I would not support any coach from Penn St. (who was there during the Sandusky years) being involved in the Alabama program at any level. I understand why some people would feel differently and that's fine..I totally understand where you're coming from, but I cannot take any complaint about Schiano in regards to the Jerry Sandusky incidents, and ignore the lack of outrage over Shoop being hired from PSU, and/or Title IX settlements involving UT football players recruited and coached by Botch Jones.
