I'd say there's zero chance Venables leaves Clemson for anything other than a HC job.

hearing there is some interest.....IIRC Morris is the reason Dabo hired Venables.

Zero question it's a step back - Clemson has won the ACC the last three season and is on its way to it's third consecutive CFP playoff. I'd argue that - right now - the only school it's better to coach at is Bama.

Unless there's some SERIOUS personal connection - I mean like, friends for life stuff - I can't see it. Going Arky makes zero sense to me.

YEP then when we stomp UT Fulmer can say Nick got inside info on game plan, shrewd :biggrin: Actually for most HC positions that is a good idea, but not if you have to play Saban avery year. So far that has not won many if any games.Nick may have taught them all they know, but not all HE knows LOL
