I had hoped that Pruitt would spend more practices with us. If he's going to miss very many we would be better off with someone else calling the Defense. I know I didn't like the Sark game in the playoffs. No one knew what to expect. At least this time around we have Defensive coaches who should do better than our poor performance last year.

I believe that he is expected back today, so he only missed 2 practices. And it seems that Saban did almost no preparation for Clemson (if we take him at his word) before Friday. So it doesn't seem like you missed him much anywhere besides the recruiting trail.

I find it surprising people ignore that Saban has the biggest support staff in the game. Saban lets a team of many prep his prep. The idea Saban's effort would be less than stellar is so stupid...

Or maybe folks just think that this year's early signing period is going to impact his normal preparation - you know, since he said so himself. He pays other people to look at film, but none of them is Nick Saban.

What do you think Nick watches while he's on the airplane to meet with recruits?

Film on football of some kind,I doubt he does much else when working. from all I have read about Saban he is a perfectionist, and lives eats and breathes football. it is football film of some kind, either on the team or the recruits, or both. Man does not waste work time with white noise, like a regular movie. Just does not fit his personality.

What stood out to me was this part "assistant strength and conditioning coach Josh Chapman." I haven't been paying attention and never knew he was in that role with us now.

I think he took over Wilson Love's spot after he went to Florida Atlantic to be their head S&C Coach. Chapman was definitely a fixture in the weight room during his playing days.

Thanks for sharing! There's no way of twisting these numbers. Bad all the way around. No wonder we lost to Auburn!

Also, I couldn't help but notice that the other CFP teams are ranked:

Clemson #10
Georgia #16
OU: #34

We got some starters back, so totally different for us now...

I hope strength and conditioning are at a maximum with our team. We need them to play like they are 7 deep. I don't want to see another 4th quarter let down this year.
