Bob Stoops is a long shot and I don't see it happening. Mark Stoops would make more sense because he has some relationship with staff already at FSU.

Norvell would be good choice, as would Mark Stoops, but if he would leave Clemson I would give Venables top priority.

I don't know, seems like he spent most of his coaching career before Memphis under Todd Graham (at both Tulsa and AZ State) and I think Graham is known as a defensive guy. I think of Norvell as an offensive-minded guy but I'm not sure.

I hope Veneables takes a head coaching job somewhere this off season so Dabo and Clemson actually have to deal with staff turbulence for once..

With the right DC, say Jeremy Pruitt, and Kiffin running the offense, they could bring FSU back to national prominence in short order. They would be in a position to de-throne Dabo. (This assumes Pruitt leaves UT and Golding is still DC at Alabama).
