I am reading more and more that Justice Haynes is about to flip to UGA. I guess he sees how our offense is. Hopefully, Saban can get him to keep his commitment to Bama. I think it will be hard to do though with the way UGA is trending and the fact his dad played there.

He may flip tomorrow, but if he had an inkling at all to go to Georgia he would've committed there and shut this circus down. Everything you mention has been there from the beginning of his recruitment. Nothing has changed. Our backs still put up good numbers running and receiving, in spite of the way we complain. He could just want to make his own name at a big time school close by.

agree and if he's looking to play in the NFL, look no further.
Alabama has 7 backs, the majority are starters, in the league.
Not just starters, but stars in their own right.
Derrick Henry arguably the best of the bunch has been a force since his rookie year. A future HOF.
Josh Jacobs was the best back in the NFL for a 3-week stretch.
Najee was named to the NFL All Rookie Team in 2021.
Mark Ingram is still playing after 11 years in the NFL, that's unheard of these days for a RB. He is also the all-time rushing leader for the Saints.
Damian Harris is the featured back in NE and solid as they come.
Drake, who isn't even a starter, and has been traded more often than most just had a great night last night.
Brian Robinson is going to be a force when he's fully healthy.

Gibbs will be drafted high as well. no school has more backs playing in the league right now than Bama. Haynes is a smart kid, I'm sure he's aware.

So we lose our 2nd game of the year and all our commits are going to go somewhere else now? BTW, where are you reading (assuming in numerous places since you state more and more) that Justice is about to flip to UGA and why do you think it will be hard to keep his commitment?

It isn't about losing 1-2 games, its about the state of the Bama program right now and how the offense and defense has looked compared to UGA, etc. with the apparent lack of coaching/development in some areas, compared to UGA. These recruits want good coaching and development, which I have not seen much of this season in some areas. I expect Coach Saban to fix that in the off season though.

I read several message boards and am a member of another message board. Someone said that a supposed insider thinks Haynes may flip. I have read that on 2 message boards, but don't know if true.I am just telling you what I have read.

Some good news I just read from Hank South on BOL, who has credible sources, is that right now both Haynes and Downs are still solid, and Bama coaches are keeping in touch regularly. He also said UGA offers much of the same stuff Haynes is looking for, and is of course trying to flip him. Ohio State is more of a threat with Downs than UGA is, but right now Downs is all in on Bama. Of course, things could change though.

I think if Bama gets a new OC/DC, that will actually help with recruiting some of these players, especially if they see how the offense/defense has been with the co-ordinators here now. I know that Coach Saban will do his best to keep the recruits, regardless. It just becomes interesting to us fans, especially since Haynes is from Georgia, his dad played at UGA, and he just returned from their game v TN. You know how Kirby is with negative recruiting. Hopefully, Haynes and Downs will stick to Bama. Several other verbal commits have already come out and said in the past few days they are still all Bama. I am not sure how close the commits have become yet, but it would be a good idea for the ones who have said that in the past few days to keep in touch with the ones who may be having 2nd thoughts.

The sky is not falling and glad Hank South walked you off the ledge. We have had a below average season but the foundation of our program ins not going to effect our recruiting or the future of our program as long as CNS is at the helm. We will come back.

If you think about it, recruits know that this is a " down " year for Alabama. I think they`ll EXPECT CNS to make changes.
And, he has done just that, several times….but it’s fair to ponder/worry that he might not have the motivation/energy to do another full rebuild.
Remember how disruptive it was to lose at least one coordinator every year? So, CNS reacted, and got himself a measure of continuity with Golding and BoB….to the apparent dissatisfaction of much of the fan base. Add all the bs with NIL, and it would not be surprising for somebody to take a hard look, and decide that enough is enough.
