Surrounded by love and community, we celebrate the life of the late North Shore lifeguard Tamayo Perry yesterday at Pipeline with the Hokulea Crew Jack Johnson Emilia Perry and a huge turnout of friends and family.

As flowers painted the sea,
salt water splashed the sky,
song filled the air,
and tears fell into the current that connects us all.

Chi Chi was a great golfer and by all accounts a greater person. He was very appreciative of the economic benefits golf provided him. He had a lot of one-liners, the best of which: "Life is not fair. If it were fair I would have been born named Rockefeller."
