All I will say is this and leave it at that: he did the things politicians do to get elected and folks should not be pretending otherwise.

That said, he was one of the more decent humans we ever had in that office.

Agreed. While I didn't necessarily agree with many of his political stances, he was a superb example of how we should all strive to live. If everyone was half the person Jimmy Carter was the world would be an absolutely amazing place.
