2024 WR Perry Thompson commits to Bama

Is Perry Thompson going to be in Tuscaloosa for the big Cookout weekend at Bama?
the latest is he will attend the barn fest and sources from Bama 247 are saying he will make his "final decision" tomorrow. if that's the case, we have another " commit" announcing their pledge to another school. brace for another media storm esp. a highly rated Alabama prospect flipping to the barn.
it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone about his possible flip. followed the visits as they say.

It’s still annoying…Antonio brown was mocking him for flirting with auburn as a receiver. When Antonio brown is questioning your decision making something is horribly wrong.

If he is making An announcement after the hoe down in the barnyard, he is gone.

Yeah, I'd probably write him off unless they can talk him into staying.................The Lumber Concession probably made him an offer he couldnt refuse

Yep. Taulia Tagovaloa ( at Maryland) told the media at Big 10 media days that a school had offered him 1.5 million to transfer. Rodney Orr said on the radio today that he was pretty sure the school was Auburn.

NIL is a dream come true for auburn.
They been hoarding their money for this very moment. Nevermiind paying Chizik, Gus , and Harsin, they will find needed funding from Yellow, alums and school revenues to stay relevant and keep up with Bama. Game on as they say.

I can see how both Riddick and Thompson would want early playing time, more immediate NIL money, etc. I don't know how much their family and/or friends are influencing them. Maybe they think they can be the start of something supposedly new at Auburn and help the team back to having winning records. I don't know if they are certain about it or still confused. I do know that Saban will probably continue to recruit them and that he won't play the bidding war with NIL money. Coach Saban is the best recruiter there is in all areas, explaining so much information about football and life, etc. Some players just want to go to other schools regardless.

I certainly don't like Auburn athletics ( I think it is a decent school academically). But, I think I don't like Freeze more than I don't like Auburn. It is a character issue. I wouldn't even be comfortable with him as a Bama OC or analyst. I realize the only person who knows the truth about if he has changed or not is him and the Lord though.

I think what bothers me about the situation is that one of these players may have been not truthful to the staff. Also, the NIL thing bothers me, even though I know Alabama does it too (but Bama tries to do it the right way). We will see what happens today and in December at signing day. I know Bama will be fine either way with recruiting and transfer portal. It is just weird seeing Auburn get top in-state recruits again after a few years of not having to worry about it.

When he has a QB to get them the ball. I hope Perry can block that’s what he is mostly going to be doing until Auburn gets a better passing QB.Don’t see him sniffing a 1000 yards receiving as your roster stands now.

Actually, they were doing it all along. It has turned into an equalizer for most everyone else...;)

NIL took away a major advantage (leveled the playing field) that awbern had over most of the rest of us...
Wasn't Saban complaining about the NIL not too long ago? It leveled the playing field alright, but that's because now everyone can get away with doing the things the Red Elephant Club (surely y'all know about the REC?) has been getting away for since Bear was roaming the sidelines. You didn't think it was just the prestige of "the Capstone" that turned so many players who grew up Auburn fans into Alabama signees? Really?!? Mark Emmert is one of Saban's good friends from their time working together in Baton Rogue, and you think you're really just squeaky clean?
