There should be some recourse on a miss like that. But I agree with teamplayer and don't want more reviews because they already disrupt the flow of the game too much.

How about this: Add facemask to the list of penalties that can be called from the booth even if they're not called on the field.

There are some of those already -- not many, but a few. Delay of game is one. Illegal participation / too many men on the field is another. And we all know about targeting. It isn't exactly a review, but would likely prevent last night's miss on facemask, followed up shortly thereafter by an obvious makeup call on DPI.

Plus, it would be entirely consistent with the principle of player safety....which is the whole reason targeting can be called from the booth in the first place. Just add facemask to the list in the name of player safety.

I don’t remember the last time I saw an SEC crew call holding this many times in a single game. They haven’t called this many holds all decade during Bama games.

Yeah they have but they were mostly called against us..........

They don’t even have to review it. Just buzz the referee and tell him about the missed facemask, then walk off the 15.

No doubt; the offense was BAD only scoring 3 points. But; "not so fast my friend". We lost to a bad Oklahoma team and Arnold had 131 yards rushing(137 vs Baylor) against our "SEC" defense before he was "improved"

Baylor's also just a historically bad team. 126 years of football and they've only finished in the AP Top 25 at total of 18 times.
