I've been doing some digging this morning on him. A friend of mine hit me up this morning because he saw Tim Watts, who I have a ton of respect for, posted about things trending in Bama's direction and wanted to know if I heard anything. Made some calls, and this is trending in Bama's direction. The kid has always loved Bama, but Alabama does not get into bidding wars. Alabama is very competitive on the NIL front and will present fair and reasonable offers to kids, but we won't do the back and forth or deal with kids whose decisions are solely based on the highest bidder. Things trended away from Bama because of that initially. It seems like Ford's love for Bama has outweighed everything else. His camp reached out to Bama ahead of his decision on tomorrow and dialogue has been happening all week on the low between the two sides. If things stay heading in the direction that they are as of right now, I see a KJ Ford to Bama surprise on tomorrow. I'll keep you posted if anything shifts again.
Tom Loy who is usually solid with his predictions said on Wednesday that Alabama has entered the picture and is the wildcard team to watch out for. Btw, having Keelon Russell who was his former teammate in his ears doesn't hurt either!

This gonna be the epic. Will we start seeing high level recuits circling back to Bama ?

I think we know the names we are looking to wrap up with at this point and not sure we take more than 22 or 23. I've heard muttering about a receiver potentially circling back but im not sure how much truth there is to it.

I think at this point, players commited elsewhere that was a need for us, are probably going to wish they had listened to Bama or other schools in coming days and weeks. I still think we might have another Suprise coming our way.

Keys was big Bama lean until lsu offered big $$$. I can see him back on the radar.
Not challenging, sjc. I don't know anything beyond what I've read on TF. I'm just puzzled and curious.

Given our existing WR group and commitments for this recruiting class, I'd be surprised if we got into a bidding war with anybody at this late stage.

If so, what gets Keys back on the radar? If he was entertaining offers, and LSU was the highest bidder, what's changed? If UTe is now offering more money, are we going to try to outbid them?

I just see this as having the potential to be dealing with a serial committer, forever "committing" to whoever is the highest bidder that day, always leveraging his "word" into ever more money.

If that's the case, "No....thank you very much." It seems to be highly inconsistent with the culture DeBoer is tryig to build now that the L-word guys are gone.

Q, all good questions. I mentioned Keys like others on here because Poke mentioned a possible WR coming back around. Like he said, its perhaps hear say at this moment.
But why , Keys you asked. Because as I said earlier, he was a heavy Bama lean to the point of committing to Bama before lsu came in with a big bag of $. He then canceled his OV right after the offer. Many posters on here with a better understanding of NIL and Bama's competitive deals all believe we won't get into a bidding war because that's not who we are especially this late in the process.

Update on KJ Ford: Things are shifting back Florida's way which I am not surprised about at all. That's why I mentioned yesterday that I would keep you all posted if anything shifted again. He was a priority target for a Florida team that has had a ton of misses on the D line this cycle. The thing with rev share is how much are you willing to spend on a kid? Ford wasn't a priority for Bama with what they already have committed. Would they have taken him and like to have him? Sure, but they weren't spending on him like a priority targets. Florida needs KJ Ford....Bama would like to have him if he is willing to come at their asking price. That is the difference here.
