3 O'clock team meeting?

*Sigh*

Yeah, it was a bad joke... sorry, didn't realize it was such a big deal... ugh, loosen up folks. Nothing we says matter anyway, we don't have to take ourselves this seriously...

I understand the frustration, I'm frustrated too. I've done my share of cussing and *****ing also, just not on this forum. Watching what is happening with our beloved football program is very serious to me. And, watching one of our own failing badly is something I also take seriously.

Roll Tide

I agree about the jokes. There's no need for them right now. No matter where each of us stand on the Fire Shula/Keep Shula debate, i think we can all agree it is NOT a joking matter. This is a serious situation right now for all parties. Coaches and their family's livelihoods and players' psyches hang in the balance right now. I just hope a majority on the BOT realizes what needs to be done and are willing to pull the trigger so the bleeding can be stopped now and not later.

I haven't been around much lately (or in the past for that matter), but one of the reasons I've sorta stuck around, long after the Gator game, is the civility of this place.

I also come around because I love the SEC, and you can't love the SEC without having a little love for Bama. It's not really any of my business, but I think it's time for Shula to go. Maybe I'm wrong, but the decision to kick that field goal in the first quarter yesterday did it for me.

Gator, normally I'd agree with you on the FG thing. BAMA used to be known for being able to smash anyone in the mouth for 4 yards. Now we have to resort to the pass... JPW broke the all time single season passing record yesterday. Do you really think he's a better QB than Namath, Stabler, Hollingsworth, et al? No? I don't either. JPW has a LOT of promise. Imagine if he was coached up by someone like Spurrier... but that isn't going to happen. Instead, we're forced to pad his stats because we're unable to run on anyone. We had 3 tries from the 3 yard line and couldn't get the job done... I'd take the 3 points too...

Did we ever consider calling a different play? Just Castille up the middle.....Just Castille up the middle.....Just Castille up the middle........:mad2: :mad2: :mad2:
To be honest, I'm not sure what we should do. Should we keep him? He has brought class back to the program. The problem is he isn't mean enough to win consistently. If he would hire a new OC and let him call the plays, I would give him one more year(this goes against my emotions felt after the game yesterday). If not, it is time for him to step down. He is still a good man....

Under most circumstances I wouldn't disagree with getting the three points Dart, Shula's job is possibly on the line....and it's polytech. Under those circumstances, it just didn't seem like the kind of decision a winner would make.

You're right though...the odds were probably against the touchdown.

I have to agree. I know everyone's very frustrated, but we can really do without the sarcasm and bad jokes...
I saw a shot of him on the sidelines yesterday where you could see his frustration. It's hard for me to even think about him being fired. I liked him as a QB and I was glad when he got the HC position. I don't like the results of this season. I didn't like some aspects of last season. It's hard to argue with a 10-2 season, but the way the team was totally embarrassed by Auburn is not Alabama football. Can you wish someone was gone without hoping they'll leave? I'd still like for Mike Shula to be the head coach at Alabama, but not as things stand today.

...that's not exactly correct, I think it was Darby up the middle the first time...

Agreed on all counts.
