34 days

34 days Tidefans :) .... Thirrrrrrty four days...

Put in for a week of vacation to start football season. I will begin it on the day of the SJSU game, and it will last until the Monday after the PSU game. Now I have two things to count down to :biggrin2:

Can we put off this season for a few more weeks? I am still enjoying 2009 and it will soon be history.

I have scheduled vacation days for every Friday during the season so that I won't have to work Saturdays. When Friday was full, I took a Monday, which also gives me Saturday off.

I wasn't kidding about putting off the season. I hate to see it end.

I put in for either holiday, or vacation time for every Saturday that I was scheduled to have duty this year. A couple of the days I didn't get, so I had to swap them with another Captain. Done. :biggrin2:

I have succesfully worked my way into my company where I can get off every Saturday, every Monday nite for MNF, every Thursday nite for Thurs nite football, and every other Sunday.

I may be the only restaurant manager in the country that can say that :biggrin2:

Scheduling like a Champion!

I asked for the whole season off and got it...oops I'm retired. Got to have something to boast about since most of you will outlive me ;)

This off season has gone by too fast. I barely had time to get in some digs towards my Longhorn son in law. I did send his son, my 5 year old grandson, an Alabama BCS championship tee shirt with the score on it.

I sure do miss football. 34 days is too far away it seems. I am really hoping for a good season. So far we are getting some fantastic commitments. Things seem primed for a spectacular run at the title. I've seen some pretty positive things but I am sure the best is yet to come.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, but I've been playing sandlot touch football or padless tackle football every Saturday for awhile now. It makes missing football season a little less unbearable.

They won't outlive you if they have to go on Obamacare. I am glad I am retired and already have my insurance locked up.:BigA::BigA::BigA:

Yeah, retirement ain't a bad gig.

That is very good! Speaks for itself.

Yeah, I'm retired too, and it's nice to not have to worry about whether or not I'm gonna be off work to watch the games. I don't like being this old, but I'm loving this retirement.
