Name a coach in the SEC you'd take over Kirby? He's no Saban but his teams consistently have what we're wanting to see out of DeBoers Alabama team. Kirby hasnt been blownout three times in the same year with the level of talent that we have and he puts a more consistent product on the field.

The Kirby hate is strong around here, personally i like the guy. He makes a boneheaded playcall once in a while, but overall hes got a strong program over there.

To me, Smart, Lanning, Day and Cignetti look like the top coaches in the country.

Yes, the portal has changed things and that means you're not going to win a championship every year. That level of consistent domination is gone because you lose too much depth every year.

But can you show up and play good football and consistently make the playoff? Yes, absolutely. Georgia won the SEC and lost two games by a combined 8 points. Call me when Alabama is back to that level of play. Let's make sure we get the contrast, Alabama lost four games by a combined 72 points.

I think the total point differential in Alabama's losses are more than those four team's losses combined!

It does make our loss even more intolerable though.

In 2 years we are the only team who didn’t knock off a Top Seed

there is no doubt, Kirby is the closest thing to the GOAT and its not debatable at this point.

Be even better if Ole Miss won it all and then all the assistants who were supposed to follow Lane to LSU decided to stay put at Ole Miss.

IF Ole Miss wins it all this year they might rename the school after Golding.

Shortly after Pete Golding and Ole Miss finished an upset of Georgia on Thursday, a source told ESPN's Mark Schlabach to expect some "fireworks," as LSU coach Lane Kiffin decides how many of his assistants can remain with the Rebels for the CFP semifinal.
