A BCS Hypothetical NC Question (Bama .vs. Arky)

So, I was wondering.

If Arky beats LSU, I assume that Bama would move to #1, Arky to 2, and LSU to 3.
This means that LSU is thrown out, and Bama would go to the SEC championship to play Georgia.

Lets further assume that Bama wins. Even OK State wins unimpressively over OK.

Arky and LSU would sit, so you would assume their status wouldn't change, so BCS would be.

1. Bama
2. Arky
3. LSU

Then Bama would play Arky in the NC game.

It seems logical... Could this happen?

Thanks,

Billy

That is what I heard on ESPN this morning. I think most of the talking heads are predicting an LSU/Bama rematch, but if LSU isn't careful they could be watching both championship games at home.

Yeah - I have also seen a model whereby a close Arkansas victory led to:

1 - Arkansas
2 - LSU
3 - Bama

Rationale - Arkansas won on the road and is much improved since their loss to Bama - and LSU just beat Bama on the road.

Frankly, I don't know what would happen.

What if, using your scenario LSU gets the tiebreaker and lost the SEC championship to Georgia. Then you have us and Ark left at 1 and 2 for the National Championship. Crazy thought.
