AJ is from Alabama. I can't help but pull for the in-state kid.
I'll second that. Being a native Mobilian, it would be great if AJ were the better QB. But if he's not, I'll gladly take Phillip Sims as the QB.

Why does your heart have a preferance between the two?
From what I observed, I thought both did better against the 1's. AJ in the first half and PS in the second.
Yeah, how come? Huh, huh huh? Good grief.
Do you really think that - that AJ will be awarded the job unless he "completely breaks down?"
I was just wondering why he has sentimental feelings toward AJ McCarron, that's all. Good grief indeed.Yeah, how come? Huh, huh huh? Good grief.
I think if Phillip Sims is named the starter right now, or in the fall, we will be in a better position in 2012 than if it is AJ. That's just my opinion. I think the fact that they are so equal and AJ is a year AHEAD says something. So take Phillip, and then fast forward a year from now and you've got Phillip in the exact same place as AJ is right now, eligibility wise, but no doubt better and smarter. I think if they are equal, you go with the younger guy. Though, I like AJ a whole lot and don't want to lose him
I don't think CNS wants to lose one either. I've tried not to be cynical, but the process taken so far makes it very hard for either to transfer...

I agree. But I do not necessarily think it is a bad thing for either of them. I actually think the best case for Sims is for A.J. to tear it up the next couple of years and leave after his junior year for the draft.
Someone has already mentioned it but what got me "jittery" about AJ was the striking resemblence to JPW and the back peddling when pressured. It just brought back bad memories of the Miss St game and many others when JPW's first decision was to begin back peddling when pressure would come. Sims didn't do that. He either got out of the pocket and ran or stepped up in the pocket and threw the ball.
