24-21...Defense plays well and we get some breaks on special teams. I know there'll be emotion on both sides of the ball, but like last year we play our hearts out...leave it all on the field. Let's do it for Wesley, Brodie, Ray

i would really be surprised to see utk loose a close game with SEC refs.

This is a difficult prediction. I feel like many of you. My brain says one thing while my heart says another. This is Shula's first win that actually is going to won by coaching. We have lost a lot of close games under this staff, but this game is the game that we break free from the chains.
It will be a close game. Tenn will go up early. Halftime score will be Tenn 7 - Bama 3. Bama comes out strong in the 2nd half. They force 2 turnovers and score a field goal and a TD. Bama has the lead 13 - 7 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Tenn whittles out a long drive and has to settle for a field goal. Bama 13 - Tenn 10. They are hoping to get the ball back and score again. Bama puts together a nasty hard fought drive, but is limited by penalties. They have to punt and give Tenn the ball with 2:12 left in the game. Fulmer puts Ainge in the game hoping his freshman can lead them to a successful TD drive. They cross the 50 yard line with 1:41 left in the game. Bama comes up with a HUGE stop on 3rd down. He we are again (remember last year) 4th and long 1:26 left to go in the game. Bama answers again on the next play with pressure on Ainge he completes the pass, but the receiver is 3 yards shy of the 1st down marker. 1:16 left in the game and Bama has the ball at midfield. We run 3 straight downs and Tenn burns all three of there time outs. 46 seconds left in the game. Freeland punts the ball inside the 10 yard line. Tenn has to go a long ways to score in a hurry. Incomplete on 1st down. A rushed pass on 2nd down is completed at the 45 yard line. 22 seconds left in the game and the refs are debating on adding on more time on the clock. They add 3 more seconds. 25 seconds left in the game. 1st and 10 from the 45 yard line. Ainge drops back, pressured by Anderson.....Ainge is blindsided by Wallace Gilberry. A sack for a loss of 8 yards. The clock is burning 14, 13, 12, 11.....Ainge pushing his team to the line. They get the ball spiked and stop the clock with 8 seconds left in the game. They have time for MAYBE 2 plays. He drops back to pass...no one is open he is running around aimlessly, being pursued by Todd Bates and Freddie Roach...he chunks it as far as he can....there is a crowd of orange and crimson jerseys in the endzone watching the ball come down. A Tenn player makes a grasp at the ball and for a fleeting second bama fans jaws are dropping everywhere.......
While all of a sudden out of no where comes Roman Harper with the hit of the year. Roman lays a crushing blow on the Tenn receiver and the ball goes sailing out of bounds and BAMA WINS.......13-10

In the first half Bama gets a touchdown off defense and a touchdown off field position to go up 14-0. Then the viles get a FG goal to make the score 14-3 but we are still looking good. But at the end of the first half we give up a cheap touchdown and it is 14-10 but the Bama Nation keeps the faith.

Our running game takes over from there and runs out the clock and Bama wins. Phat phil then drops to his knees and starts crying and then a lawyer shows up out of the stands and serves the phat man his papers. Phat phil's next fight will come in a courtroom.

I feel we'll need a score from both the defense and special teams. Prothro and Brooks need to give us good field position. Isn't UT's punter one of the best in the country? Hopefully we can block a couple of kicks. I still say we can win this one.

I see a close one. Spencer hits Hall on a short td pass, Darby has a 10 yard td run, Castille powers in from the 2, Bostick connects on a 31 yarder. The defense plays well, intercepting 2, recovering 1 fumble. Bama 24 ut 20. RTR!! :biga:
