Alabama, You've Done It Again, Part the IV

I've always suspected that we could round up 10 Antifa members and ask each one of them separately what Antifa really means and we would probably get 10 different answers (some more variant than others.) Even the mainstream press seems confused at times.

the "local antifa" is obvious proof this guy has no idea either, which indicates he isn't involved with antifa.

One would seem easy, yet has been debated by scholars for decades: What was Mockingbird’s theme?

To her, it was simple. It was not just about race, though that will always be the part we most cut ourselves upon, but about all kinds of justice, and fairness, and a sorting out of what it means to get into someone’s skin and walk around in it. You never gain any understanding, in a pluralistic society, until you do.

Wasn’t sure where to post this but decided this thread needed a bump and it happened in Alabama.

I was at the grocery store today and saw a pickup truck. It had a bunch of bumper stickers and every one of them had a picture of the Confederate flag. By this I mean the stars and bars version.

They all had comments like “Dixie proud” and SCV references but one really made me laugh. It said “If this flag offends you, you are free to leave”.

I usually see that with the American flag, but this had the picture of the Confederate flag. Free to leave what? Your Klan rally? I wanted to take a picture but thought it would be best not to in case the owner returned.

@Crimson1967 - I was recently driving on the newest bypass (not yet interstate, but will be when completed) around Memphis and saw a GIGANTIC confederate flag flying on a clearing in some wooded land along the highway. This is new within the last month or two, I think. Did some googling and found out it wasn't a private land owner, but rather one of these silly groups like the 'sons of confederates' or something.

In 2024...

SMH

Deficient egos will always find an obnoxious way to express their idiocy...living in a land with the freedom of speech and all that entails can be quite a challenge...but it beats the alternative as far as I can tell.

“I never dreamed the FBI would show up at my house,” Hanson said. “I didn’t knowingly know I was threatening anybody. To me, it was a warning.”

Hanson said he made the phone calls because he was angry. He said he was upset about the “whole political narrative” and he made the calls to make officials back off of Trump.

“I’m not a lawbreaker,” he said. “I just lost it.”

What an idiot.

But he is following Trump and Trump's minions in exactly what they do, so he probably really did think it was OK.

And even so-called independents give Trump and crew cover when they say the exact same things, so he probably did think it was acceptable.

But he deserves every moment he is locked away.

Guy calls a federal judge on the phone and leaves a message with “warnings” that bad things could happen to her.
