Thanks everyone . AND thanks for being patient. Change is hard but in this case I'm completely at peace now that I went with Xenforo instead of vb5. It was a huge decision with a lot of unknowns but I'm very pleased with how smooth the migration process went. It was a bit longer than we expected (right at 12 hours start to finish) but the folks at ThemeHouse.com did a bangup job over the last month with testing, site updates and finally the migration of the live site. It's never easy but this one was smooth. I guess when you drop a few large on a consulting / development group they know you expect results and actually deliver :D (I was an enterprise system consultant in a previous life and lived that stress every day!)

BTW, I encourage those of you who are members but never login to login and enjoy some of the "non-posting" features that we have. You can bookmark posts, upload photos, follow your favorite members and threads, send/receive PMs (now called conversations) with MUCH more to come over the next week.

If you're not a registered member, I encourage you to register and login ! We love seeing new members - just make sure you read the site guidelines before you post.

Bravo for adding 2FA!

We get trophies now, interesting. I instantly got a bunch for certain post count milestones. I wonder, do we get a trophy for getting suspended in a game thread? :D

1) After you login, go exploring. Check things out, kick the proverbial tires, look at what's available, etc.
2) Check your profile by clicking your username at the top right once you login. Click Preferences. If time seems off, you'll need to set your time zone correctly. You may also have to check the appropriate checkbox beside "I have never registered under a different username"
3) Click the envelope beside your username at the top right. This is called "conversations" and replaced PMs.
4) Note that I'm still working on some style/template updates including navigation, banners, etc. The "bones" are here and should have more flesh on them over the next couple of days!
5) There may be some things that aren't "just quite right" yet. Have some patience as we work through understanding and configuring the new digs!

How do I get to the first unread post on a thread? :confused:

You should see a number on the top right by the bell beside your name. I'll tag you: @CrimsonNagus and you should see it increase the #

Yeah, I hadn't even mentioned this yet but for anyone who wants 2-factor authentication (like you have at bank websites, etc), we now have it :)

I'm not sure how I want utilize trophies exactly yet so your trophies might change and I may implement something more intuitive after we settle down a bit. Stay tuned, I guess :)

that's funny about the game thread, but we do now have the ability to suspend down to a thread level if the mod/admin so chooses (which I hope they will going forward for relatively minor offenses). So, we might could work in -100 points if you get suspended :D
 
Clicking on the thread title on forum page lising all the threads takes me to the first unread reply. Is this not the case for you?

from xenforo developer website: "In the forum view, if you are logged in, clicking the title of emboldened thread (one for which have unread posts) will load the first unread post.

For threads with no unread posts, clicking the title will load the first post. Clicking the date link will load the first post for either case."

First you should know that every post was unread when the new site was launched. So, nothing is "read" until you mark it read by either reading the posts or clicking the "mark read" link at the top of the forum page.

Afterward, just launch a thread by clicking on the thread title link and you will be taken to the first unread post in that thread.
