Is it too early to start this thread?

I think we (Hog fans and Tide fans) can do some hand-wringing together.

Needless to say, I'm not as confident as I was before last night's games and, based on what I've read here, there's a few of y'all in the same boat.

But that can be good. If both of our teams go into Saturday with question marks :conf2: ... then there's that element of the unknown and gives all of us something to really root for.

What say you?

Tomorrow is the official opening day of Tide Fans Razorback hunting season. We are still observing the CNS 24 hour celebration rule until Sunday night.

Board notice: Wild Hawg sighting. It won't be long before we smell BBQ pork in Tuscaloosa. ;)

LOL. Gotcha! My bad.

Look forward to joining y'all to chat tomorrow then. Continue enjoying your victory. Carry on.

I'm looking forward to the invasion of Arkansas screen names. I get a kick out of ya'lls clever uses of pig, hog, snout, feet, and other pork references every year. :D

I think you are right on both teams having question marks. We are worried about the O-line and if they can win the battle of the trenches against good SEC teams. And I really want to see the match-up between our secondary and the Arkansas recievers. It will be great to watch the chess match between Saban and Petrino again also.

Please explain to me how Troy had almost 400 passing yards. I would like to give that information to a few people in Tuscaloosa. Thanks for the help!

They would of had almost 500 if they did not have so many drops, it certainly had nothing to do with our pass coverage. Their QB threw the ball extremly well, and put it threw some tight holes. After watching the game over I confess the boy has skillz.

Still not an excuse for the crappy coverage.

Which is it? Good coverage and tight throws or it was crappy coverage?

As an aside - there QB threw 91 touchdowns his senior year of high school.

A little of both. When the recievers were covered, he made great throws. At times the Troy recievers ran amuck, uncovered and unchecked. He still made great throws, but the receivers dropped the ball.

The defense kept them in check the first half. Our offense moved the ball at will during the first half. When the second half started, Troy came to play and the Hogs were dreaming of the after game party. IMO the mistakes made were due to lack of focus. I knew going into the game Troy was bad news if you let them hang around, the Hogs jumped to a 21-0 lead and fell asleep.

That will not happen this week, I don't believe the players know who we play after the Tide. It's a junior and senior laden team, so it should be a great game. Just like last year.

Sounds a lot like our game last season. Last season, the Hog fans, the media, and just about everyone else had Arkansas pegged to knock the Tide off of that #1 perch. And they did . . . for about two quarters.

Should be a fun game. Looking forward to it.

I'll admit, I started getting nervous for the Ark game about 10pm last night. It's on now:biggrin2:, only one week of non-worry until Ga. Southern (though the way Ole Miss laid down yesterday, I think Ga. Southern could be a tougher game)

Another Hog fan here ready to talk about the game!

I haven't had a chance to watch a replay of our game with Troy last night, but just based off of listening to it on the radio has me even more concerned! But, it's Alabama Week and I'm PUMPED!

Here's to a great game week leading up to a great game!
