after their beating of VTech in '99, I think FSU has to be mentioned in the most underachieving category too. But Clemson is definitely in there, especially in the last 5 years.I wish Dabo well but Clemson has to be THE most underachieving team in the last 10 years in America. They've recruited well but never can seem to get it together.
Athlete Victor Beasley (6-4, 220) of Adairsville, Ga., made an unofficial visit to Clemson on Friday but is favoring Alabama. He has narrowed his decision to the Tigers and Crimson Tide and could make a commitment this week.
Also visiting Clemson on Friday was linebacker Caleb Crane (6-2, 225) of Centre, Ala. He’s a teammate of Clemson commitment Desmond Brown and a close friend of Beasley’s. Crane delivered film to the Tigers and is hoping to hear back this week on an offer.
Tight end Ethan Farmer (6-4, 275) of Tabor City, N.C., says Clemson and Alabama are two schools he really likes right now. He also has offers from Tennessee, N.C. State, Duke, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Virginia and East Carolina. He also is getting interest from East Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland and Wake Forest. He took no visits during the summer and plans official visits to Clemson, Alabama, Penn State, N.C. State and North Carolina.
Think you are right Surf. Knowing Moseley and Owens are on the board might be prompting him to secure his place. I guess he could always change his mind later though.ATH Victor Beasley says that he is making his decision this week. He says that he may hold a press conference at his HS to announce his decision. The details have not been worked out yet.
All of the latest articles quote Beasley as saying that he is favoring Bama over Clemson. In a couple of his most recent interviews after his Clemson visit he said he fell in love with Alabama and he loves Bama linebacker coach Sal Sunseri. I have not seen the word love mentioned anywhere in reference to Clemson.I look for him to pick Bama.
Victor Beasley - Football Recruiting
UGA has let a lot of kids go from in-state over the past few years that have turned out to be good for us, and a few other schools. Sometimes, I think they try to pick too many battles from out-of-state kids at same positions.Among Beasley, Moseley and Owens, what is the order of preference?
And, why no offer from Georgia?
I get a little antsy about recruiting someone from another state who does not have an offer from his State U.
The didn't offer Michael Bowman either...Among Beasley, Moseley and Owens, what is the order of preference?

I've wanted Beasley to sign with Alabama since I first heard about him, but the news I keep hearing about Alfy Hill makes me think differently about this one. Either way, we would be getting a great talent.I hope we get beasley but im starting to believe alfy hill might have a say in the matter...<br />

Georgia has won two SEC titles in the last ten years, they've just not had the few bounces go their way to get them into a national title game scenario. For example, some of his best teams still found a way to lose to the Zook-led Gators. When we all look back, I think it would be fair to say that Richt had a very advantageous situation for any UGA coach: Tennessee was in a slow decline, Zook was not Spurrier, Alabama was down, GT wasn't really playing at a high level, etc. Richt's best days might be behind him with the recruiting pressure Meyer and Saban will put on him and the growing respect of Johnson at GT.Although Georgia hasn't won any national championships in the last 10 years I would still think it is a bit of a stretch to say they are the most underachieving team in the last 10 years. Most programs would consider their win/lose record to be more than acceptable.
I have also heard the rumblings. A lot of Clemson fans seem to be very confident that Beasley is going to choose them. I have heard some of the reasons why they think he will end up at Clemson. The most concerning to me as a Bama fan is that they are saying that Beasley's parents want him to go to Clemson. Also they belive the fact that a lot of his friends have already committed to them or are expected to go there will sway him to choose Clemson.I hope Beasley rolls with us but there have been some rumblings that he may end up picking Clemson and might have committed privately to them already. There are several reason being cited for why he would choose Clemson but I won't perpetuate them since we will know the outcome soon enough.
